Kimbo Slice dead at 42

Yeah, also looks like he didn't have the discipline to get to the right level of fitness. It's a shame.

Having said that, he achieved a lot and he always came across as a reasonable guy.

He'll be remembered more than most of us on here!

Kimbo Slice... loved the aura he had online during his street fighting days. His judo throw against Houston Alexander was a wtf moment! I was surprised by how humble a guy he was when he went on TUF. RIP.

Don't care that he used roids. He was entertaining. Nobody gives Arnie stick for it. Amount of gear he did from age 18 is unthinkable.

Also i think there's a difference. If your trade is just to look like a homosexual in very small panties all oiled up in front of other homo's to judge you on how big your muscles are, then go ahead kill yourself on steroids.

If you're a fighter and taking steroids to give you an unfair advantage and potentially kill your opponent because of the steroid cheating, then there should be much harsher penalties, than the person just taking it for vanity reasons.

Has there ever been a documented case of steroid use/abuse causing a death. Or is it that those who use steroids are also more likely to use

Insulin
Diuretics
Cocaine

Its just Steroids make Headlines.

Is that how you spot one of those homosexual types. Theyve all got big muscles.

I always thought they looked like normal people.

Next you'll be telling us you can spot a peodo in a line up

No there has never been a death conclusively linked to steroid use, it's all may have and possibly contributed to.

There was a headline a few years back. That read steroid user jumps off wardrobe and dies.

Now the only part steroids would have played would have been that they gave him the strength to climb up the wardrobe:D

Nice homophobic comment there...

Wonder what the punishment for that should be.

The press will dig up anything if it supports their particular agenda. Like if anyone who has ever done any sort of security work even if it's ancient history and they sat in a portacabin on an empty building site for 12 hours a night does something wrong then the headline will almost certainly read "EVIL BOUNCER KICKED CHILD IN HEAD WHILE HIGH ON STEROIDS!!11!!!!" or some similar balls.

Legend? Hardly... He was an entertaining bum who made his name fighting people and posting it on You Tube.

I enjoyed watching it for it's novelty and watching so called 'hard nuts' get beaten up by an even harder nut, but once he stepped up to professional level he soon got out classed.

Legend! How can you use the same word to describe Kimbo Slice as you do Mohammed Ali? :o

Some interesting discussion.... I do think that steroid abuses in sports where your physical advantage could increase the chance of brain-damaging or even killing your opponent should be treated harsher than other sports... David Price is a prime example of someone campaigning for this... While he has been sparked out a few times, both the people who have KO'ed him have since been found guilty of substance abuse but neither have been vilified... Compare that to someone like Lance Armstrong whos cheating helped charity but he has been hung out to dry. While all cheating is wrong it feels much worse knowing that the cheating can increase the chance of making someone a vegetable for the rest of their lives.
