Golf 7R / Golf Mk7 R

my GTD is in reflex silver and love the colour, but if
if i had the choice again though, id go for blue probably, black maybe

My other Golf is in Reflex Sliver ... i did consider it , but having 2 x Silver Golfs on the driver is a bit much.

My spec has had to change a little. It seems vw have just broght out ever so slightly revised model for this year. The UK golf R now comes with sat navigation and the winter pack as standard. Price has gone up a little , but not enough to make me change my mind

It worked out cheaper for me as i specced out the Winter Pack and the Tech Park originally.

Still looking at a late August / Early September delivery to my doorstep :D

My GTD company car goes back in a couple of months and having opted out of the scheme have been looking at an R as a potential replacement.

The GTD has been a good car, only thing that bugged me was the engine, which is solved with the R ;)

How are people buying these, main dealers matching online broker prices, leasing?

Only options I'd really want to add are the tech pack and maybe the 95% rear tints as they are only cheap.

Having had the Dynaudio it's been brilliant, and paying the extra to get the better screen as part of the pack makes it better than it used to be by a long way!).

But then still think that's a lot of cash for a Golf, had been looking at S4s for around 20k (love that V6 charged engine) but after the GTD the S4 and a lot of other cars feel dated inside a bit. Which given their age isn't unsurprising!

Did look how much one was through work, all in (car cost to me plus the BIK) it was about £540 a month everything included, no mileage limits, no deposit etc.

I went through a broker who negotiated me a nice discount for the spec i wanted and then passed me onto an authorized VW Dealer.

Part Ex-ing my existing motor and delivering down to my door step on a transporter as well.

I was about to pull the trigger on one of these but was quoted a 12-16 week lead time...which I thought was crazy!!

Are you going to the dealsers to look for cars in stock or just asking the leasing company to look around? (if leasing)

I was using select car leasing. Was looking at about £8k for two years, 8k miles per year

That's not unheard of really, that's the norm for quite a few cars especially if they're in demand. I had to wait 3 months for my Fiesta ST a couple of years ago.

I used Gateway2Lease and they found one with a 3-4 week leadtime that was due in stock with a dealer.

Hoping to get a delivery date in the next few days :)

I suppose it depends whether a dealer has the car you want (i.e. spec, colour) in stock as opposed to a factory BTO.
