So, I get around 5 parcels a week... Sometimes more. The downside is that I work away from home a lot so most parcels don't arrive without me having to make loads of trips to different hubs (and I don't drive I have to wait for a day when my partner is free too). Another issue is that DHL just lose pretty much every package that is sent to me one way or another. It either takes an extra 3 - 4 weeks or I never get it at all.

I looked at the idea of a PO Box, but they say they will not take delivery of parcels that arrive from other couriers.

Does anyone know of a service where someone will take my parcels, sign for them and hold them until I can make the trip to collect them every few days?

Doddle as mentioned, or look for serviced offices local to you. Many of them will offer a service that just provides an address and receives deliveries.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the is a 'doddle' close to me =(. That looks exactly what I am after though.

The bin isn't really an option either as I don't have anywhere to put it other than slap bang in the middle of my drive and then tbh, i wouldn't trust it, some parcels I get run into the thousands of pounds mark and I wouldn't want them to be left in a secured bin for up to 4 nights whilst I am working away =/

Cheers for the ideas though!

Ah, didn't realise you were away so long :)

Yeah, unfortunately =( hopefully I will be moving house soon so that I can be closer to work, or even better would be a new job! The doddle idea would be great if there was one in my area. I shall have another google around today and see if I can find anything else. I am gutted that the PO Box thing won't work =(

get things delivered to a local post office?

There is a little one down near me thats staffed by a family, i asked them nicely if i could get parcels delivered to there and collect when im back from work. They said it was fine, i dont take the pee though. 1 or 2 per week and collect on a wed / sat

try that?

other than that i use amazon for everything else, my safe place is the garage, which i leave the back door unlocked (nothing in there worth nowt tbh).

Unfortunately, the sheer number of parcels (and sometimes the size) would mean the post office isn't an option, a couple of months ago I had 14 parcels in around 3 - 4 days. I wouldn't like to take advantage of anyone's generosity like that. Our local post office is pretty big and they seem to do everything by the book. When I asked about the PO Box services they told me that they would only accept their mail and other companies associated with them, not other couriers etc. It seems a little short sighted to me as I was happy to pay for the service.

The problem is a lot of the things I don't actually order, they are review samples, sponsored products or gifts, when I do order something (that isn't available from OcUK) I do use amazon and they put them in my shed and lock it afterwards, the same as DPD, most other companies won't do this though and obviously if I have 2 parcels the first company locks the shed and the second one can't get in.

Increase the size of your letterbox, so parcels fit through, as well as whole hippo/elephant faeces.;)
