Now that the 1080 is out and the 1070 reviews are out I wonder when we'll hear more about the 1060.

The 1070 seems like more a replacement for the 980 as it's price quite a bit more than the 970 so those who had to stretch their budgets to get a 970 will probably be more interested in the 1060.

My rough prediction is it will offer 980 performance, will be aimed at 1440p and cost what $249 translates to.... so typically it'll be £249.

low end card gtx 1060 £349.99 at this rate and next they will state this is the card to replace the 970 ....

It is quite evident from the pricing that this is EXACTLY what the 1060 will be... the 970 replacement. The 1070 is the 980 replacement, and 1080 the 980Ti. 1080Ti will be Titan X money. Nvidia literally have a license to print cash.

I feel this card will be priced slightly higher than whatever Polaris is. If as they say Polaris performance is between a 970 and 980, I can see this being priced £30 more if it has 980 performance.

That's my prediction as well for the 1060ti, slightly faster than the 489 and a little more cash. The vanilla 1069 will be slightly slower and similar price.

Polaris will kill the market

We'll see, but seeing how nvidia are pricing their products I sincerely doubt the RX 480 is going to stand a chance against the gtx 1060, let alone gtx 1070. Pretty sure the only thing it is going to kill is amd's share price.
