Blue Screen After New PSU Installation (Win 7)

I just installed a new power supply today, which was a replacement from the manufacturer as the previous died. Sounds nice to hear the system boot up again, but every time I try to "Start Windows Normally," I get a blue screen flash up quickly a few seconds after, and then the machine goes back to the "Start Windows Normally" screen.

It wasn't easy capturing a shot of the screen the split second the blue screen appears and disappears, but this is what it says:

I don't know how else to show error codes or whatever else is needed, as I've little experience doing this. But any help would be greatly appreciated!

0x07b is a hard disk error.

Has your BIOS been reset?

You usually get that error if the SATA Controller has been changed from AHCI to SATA, or vice versa.

I'm not sure. What exactly am I looking for in my BIOS and what does it need to be set to?

EDIT: It says IDE Mode on the SATA Mode option. And IDE Mode on the Marvell Sata3 Operation Mode, too. Is that right?

What Make/Model of PC do you have, or if it's a custom build, what is the model of your motherboard?

Edit:

It should look something like this;

I added an edit to my last post. See if any of that is relevant.

Also, the motherboard is an Asrock z68 Extreme 4.

EDIT: Yup, I got that set in my BIOS.

Try changing the IDE/AHCI/RAID etc... and restart

Hopefully one should work.

I wouldn't expect a PSU change to affect your hard disk.

I'll try. Hopefully I don't screw anything up. This PC has been out of action for about 9 months. I don't know if that would effect the hard drive in any way...

If, for whatever reason the changes don't make a difference i'd recommend running something like Hirens boot CD and run some HDD diagnostics.

It's okay, just changing things to AHCI worked. So relieved that was an easy fix. Thanks a lot for the help, buddy. I really appreciate it!
