Wow, I'm surprised they are in stock but also that's another £40 for fansThat place that rhymes with Flan has a couple of GT's in stock last week. I snapped them up quick. The boxes they arrived in were pretty dusty so I guess they were probably sitting in a warehouse for a few years.
One word in regards to the Darkside version - Mayhems![]()
My emails buggy at the moment so I haven't received it yetSent you a trust message.
It's for cooling and colour scheme as I haven't been impressed by the SP120s (I have the quiet editions)Keep your SP120 from tests ran switching to the Vardars for example had minimal benefits especially considering the cost if you have a lot of fans to replace.
I would snap them up but I'm going for an all black colour scheme although I have a feeling you should go for them as I'd like to see your tests as many that are on the internet only test one aspect of the fan (Airflow, silence, static pressure) as opposed to an all roundMuch depends on what the fans are going to be used on. Case / air cooler or radiator (radiator thickness & fin count make huge difference).
All Gentle Typhoon fans have always been Nidec-Servo fans, model D1225C12Bx-xx. is the basic 12v model with the 'x's being speed range, is speed control, speed monitoring and customer specific features.
Sorry about the size, but it's that or this small image
A minimum order is in volume number of at least 4 maybe 5 digits.
The 1850rpm model is now being made in both variable voltge and PWM, and I think this is also true of the 2150rpm version.
Wow! If someone offered me some Vardars I would snap them up in a heartbeat .. maybe less. Then I could test them and see how they compare to other fans like Noctua, Phantkes, Cryorig, Corsair and Gentle Typhoon AP-14. I have an old H80 setup as a fan test station.![]()

Thanks for respondingVardar's are fine. Sythe GT still my favourite.
Well, now I'm certain the worlds going mad heheI'm thinking of doing the same thing as you atm, have 4 Noctua NF-12 fans but they run a little loud for me![]()

Hmm, I haven't looked at the BeQuiet range. It's a shame no one has a list of all the fans compared with each other on average/everyday useMaybe I'm just doing it wrong, they're just the P12's though not the really expensive ones. I was looking at the BeQuiet Silent Wing's and Varar's as possible replacements. I've only got a H100 atm so I could just be a loud pump I suppose, will need to go full watercooling to check.
That's what I've seen so far as people seem to be biased towards the ones they use in their own systems. Unfortunately that makes the decision significantly more difficultI looked up various sites through Google trying to find the best ones out there, the ones that caught my attention were some of the Noctua's, Vardar, Phoons (obviously), BeQuiet's and Noiseblockers. Although the test results were very mixed dependant on application.
