** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

It does mention that they left the GPU profile as standard, in this case with the FTW, I don't think the GPU fans come on until the card reaches 65-70c?

Maybe if they changed the fan profile, the temps would've been different?

Should be another review today/tomorrow from Kyle @ Awesomesauce Network. He posted a preview about it on Twitter iirc.

Possibly. The Gaming X is the same though, no fan until 60 so they were pretty comparable tests. Going in EVGA favour is i have seen a tweet from Jacob saying that they have ample stock held back PURELY for RMA purposes. To take the flak they are getting and still making sure customers with issues don't face hiccups takes balls.

I find it genuinely incredibly that 1000 people have parted with £650 on a pre order for one of these knowing they might have to wait weeks to get one.

Just shows that Nvidia know exactly what they are doing.

Bit of an Apple mentality creeping in there imo. =/

I would prefer ASUS stick with their strix clocks (despite delays) as I want to put them on water anyway and hitting those clocks means it's likely a better chip..

Terrible launch though. Lord only knows how long I'll wait in that 1000 odd queue..

Thats £650,000, put down, on one single card, that has been delayed. Combining all the cards and preorders, i'd say a couple of million £'s sitting in preorders. Pretty staggering

Well indeed. He said nearly 1000 strix cards have been sold so that is £650,000 sitting there just for that card.

What's the interest in a month on a million quid? :p

Waited nearly a month, what's an extra 2 weeks? /s

I just wish EVGA would've been straight with us from the start instead of drip feeding us information to get our hopes up, for them then to say that "Oh btw, the cards haven't even started production yet, you're going to have to wait another 14 days"

This isn't a dig at Ben by any means, it's just a little disappointing seeing the yanks receive their cards, yet us European/UK folk have to wait a lot longer.

Well a lot of the cards seem to now have updated ETA's which is not good news for some as they now say 30th June/1st July, but the MSI Aero still says 17th June so I'm feeling slightly optimistic I will get mine soon now! :D
