** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Call sales and they shall sort the swap for you. :)

EVGA need to try to speed up and ship a lot more as Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac, Gainward are all starting to make much nicer and larger shipments this weekend forwards to OcUK. :)

Thanks have changed my order to the G1 and am 8th in the queue. Am really happy with that. Thanks for the help! :D

Gibbo, Whats the waiting list like on the Gaming X like? If I swapped my FTW order how long do you thing before shipping?

On 1080 hard to say, around 100 sold on Gaming X so maybe a week or two.

G1, GLH look good for deliveries next week.

But the FTW has best design, I'd wait but is upto you.

Maybe buy G1 GLH, then in a months time sell and try FTW, upto you. :)

Anyone interested in the 1080 FTW, Bit-Tech have their review up. Where unable to OC any higher than 1,975MHZ stable, which isn't great, but 100% maybe silicon lottery (surprised if EVGA didn't send out binned chips for reviewers but fair play if they didn't). Thermals were at +54c DELTA, so probebly around 75c at load.

Hmm I ordered a 1080 ftw on the 31st but thinking of switching. I guess I would go to the back of any line if I switched right? Thinking of the HOF or the strix. If it's still going to take a couple of weeks post switch to get a card I may as well stick with the ftw though as imho it has the best air design save for the hall of fame or the classified

Cheers Gibbo, really appreciate the information - although I guess I wont hold out too much hope of a dispatch tomorrow then!

I ordered on 30 May, so hopefully i'm not TOO far down that list when they do start to filter through ;)

...I certainly hope so - playing The Division and GTA V with all the detail down at around 30 FPS is really starting to Grip me!! :D

Probably optimistic but you may see a dispatch email on the 17th depending on whether the statement from Gibbo about Asus redirecting their stock to OcUK is true. I sent a webnote to CS yesterday and got a reply today saying that I was around the 300 mark in the queue. Not an exact figure but I ordered on the 31st at 00:31 so think positive.

You're lucky to get 30 FPS in games, I'm running a new build and I have no GPU to tie me over. Intel HD 530 is bearing the brunt of the work. Its painful. I barely see 30 FPS in most of my games.

well, im now 63rd in the queue for the EVGA SC. I was 123rd before this current batch was sent or any cancellations were made.

Hopefully i might get this for next weekend....

I did see that too actually, 75c seems pretty hot for the FTW considering most of the other cards are sub-70c or there abouts?

Gibbo's saying the FTW has the best design but with temps like that, I'm not so sure?

Yes, is concerning too as it was tested "in case" with all case fans at max whilst under max load. In a Corsair Graphite 760T that they show holds a lot of fans, that seems quite toasty to me.

Conversely, a test of the MSI Gaming X 1080 (overclockersclub) in a similar case(Corsair Obsidian 650D) didnt breach 70c at max load (69 tops).

Both cards look incredible, but for the longer wait, i really expected the reviews of the FTW to be more favourable. From current reviews, i really cant see what the FTW can pull out of its sleeve to trump the others personally, but i have been known to eat my words.

I want to change my FTW order but don't know what to change to that's in the same ball park an is landing tomorrow? I'm bloody 8th in the FTW que too!! Should have learnt my lesson on the Vive pre-order!!

I'm 12th in the queue for FTW could be lower now that so many have cancelled the FTW. I'm going to wait. I just don't want a FE card

around 100? I was told this morning I was 41st on the pre-order queue... so unless you've sold around 60 cards in an hour or so, customer services told me the wrong number.

EVGA's coolers have never been the best really, but their warranty makes up for it in a lot of people's minds. I'm sure you could easily shave another 5-10 degrees off of that with a more aggressive fan curve though. Manufacturer-set fan curves are often too gentle or too aggressive.

It does mention that they left the GPU profile as standard, in this case with the FTW, I don't think the GPU fans come on until the card reaches 65-70c?

Maybe if they changed the fan profile, the temps would've been different?

Should be another review today/tomorrow from Kyle @ Awesomesauce Network. He posted a preview about it on Twitter iirc.
