It is not a council ticket it is one of those irritating PCN from a little **** of a man on a scooter. I can't be asked to pay them greedy moungrels except it if impacts my credit score

Well if you don't pay it, and you get taken to court for it, and it does happen, you will likely have a CCJ against your record, which i thought was obvious.

It's not simply a case of 'filing PCN's in the bin' any more unfortunately. These parking companies are taking some people to court, and even winning in some cases unless they realise they have a fight on their hands. In other words, you can't just forget about it, you have to ask them to prove that you have cost them what they are charging on the 'invoice', in which case, most will back down. Go over to pepipoo forums and get some proper advice from there.

Yeah, either pay up or appeal.
The old advice of ignoring it doesn't work any more. They can and most likely will take you to court for a CCJ if you don't make some attempt to contact them.

I guess it's up to you really if you'd want to take the risk.

It took them 6 months to send me a letter in the post. Really annoying.
Free money for them. These scooter ticket inspectors need to be shot

If it's council, you can end up with CCJ. If it's private you won't. Whatever you do, don't just ignore it.

You only get it affecting your credit rating if it goes to court and you don't pay up.

I still throw mine in the bin. 99.9% of the time you will be fine. It if goes to court it goes to court.

You only get a CCJ on your credit file if they find against you and you fail to pay what is owed after the judgement. Obviously if they find against you then that's probably still more expensive than just paying it now.

I would make up a difficult to prove wrong lie, like you did have a ticket and they must not have seen it. Depending on what the parking situation is like, you could get a resident permit and scratch out the relevant dates, or if the ticket machine isn't too sophisticated you could get one after the fact.

Basically, something where it's your word against theirs, contact them and make it clear you will dispute it on that basis. if you say "I'm not paying this" then obviously they'll continue, but if you say something they can't prove wrong, then it's 50:50 and they will be more inclined not to bother.

I am all against the greedy lil private ticket officers but i just dont park any private parking i am not willing to pay for. Do you guys make the mistake of parking somewhere and not pay attention or do you feel you have a right to park there despite it owned by someone else?

I am on with one at the moment.. Well I actually have two

They are both in mine and my dads companies name

The whole thing really aggrieves me. The guys giving you them are absolute jobsworth asshats. I love how they give you a ticket and then want absolutely nothing to do with it after that. They just ask you to contact the numbers on the ticket. What kind of system allows such a ridiculous carry on.

I have a valid ticket for both occasions one time it blew over and the other time it blew out of the car.. Unbelievably bad luck but there you go. I wouldn't mind but there were many other tickets from the same car park albeit out of date on my dashboard so you would think any logical person would assume I hadn't just parked there and tried to my luck or would at least recognise I had bought plenty of tickets previously..

To add more insult to it the town (Worksop) is already pretty deprived as it is.. There must be 5+ of these people walking round the town every day.

I have had a TE3 form and it's asking me to either pay by the first week in July or respond with a TE9.

Thanks I still did not pay it! £100 they still want
got 2 letters in 6 months so far

I should call them up and ask for a discount

surely it will cost them money to take me to court? This must be more than £100 to do this?!

It is not uncommon they keep sending letters out this long. It will be more than £100 which is why all they will do is send letters out.

Do not under any circumstance do this....

You only owe them their estimated loss and expense caused by your infraction. If anything ask them to demonstrate this and if they choose not to then you want them to issue you a POPLA reference so that you can go down the dispute resolution route. They don't like doing this as it costs them money to raise the case with POPLA.

You will not end up with a CCJ unless they issue formal court papers and take you to court, you lose the case, the judge makes a decision on the amount you are to pay and then, after all of that..... You don't pay. As long as you are certain this is not council, do not worry about it, do not pay and just chill. These people are debt collectors/ pests. The only person you have to listen to is a judge.
