Listening To Music = Deserve to Be Attacked

Because 'religion'

More sociologically, it's as follows.

A group that relies on fear of punishment (whether spiritual, physical or social ostracism) to control its members, inherently cannot tolerate the presence within itself of those who do not fear such punishments. Such people must be separated out (either physically or by some difficult to surmount barrier such as speaking a different language - n.b. the school in Birmingham trying to make Arabic the default language of the children there) or they must be punished. Which is what we see in this case. Obviously the threat of spiritual punishment is not effective on these people and social ostracism seems to be failing, so physical punishment becomes an option.

Didn't him killing her cause terror in the community? He didn't snap, hes a member of Britain First who manifest this hatred...like ISIS. But he's white so can't be labelled a terrorist

I call him a terrorist for what it's worth. He's seeking to effect political change through fear of violence, so he seems to count. More of a terrorist than half of the people who Obama has signed off on assassinating via drone strike, anyway, most of whom would better be called insurgents, soldiers or political figures.

Just watching the BBC and they are showing LGBT Parade trying to defy a ban on it happening. Istanbul security forces using tear gas and plastic bullets on them according to the BBC.

Religion. Nothing else.
To be honest, thats as much to do with the Turkish security forces as it is anything to do with religion.

A free state Turkey is not.

I heard there were cuts to the health service in Istanbul. What's Islam got to do with it? They could have had mental health issues

Religion should be kept in the the church, mosque, temple, home or wherever that isn't a public place. It really has no bearing on a modern world

+1 Totally agree.

I will defend people's right to religious freedom in the same way as I defend the rights of cute 20 something females to dress as cartoon characters. ;)

So long as they also defend my right to listen to music and drink beer or even eat beef or pork.

I'm sorry, but whatever way you look at it, religion has been the cause of more deaths than anything else in the world. People fighting over who has the best imaginary friend as I read somewhere ;)
