i just wanted to see when it would come in stock. £565 with shipping... : \

Would anyone who had a gaming x shipped today be able to tell me when they placed their order? or what position they were in the queue?

The live chat is down and I can't get through on the phones

The guy on the phone said the order position is somewhat based on when you placed it as well, so if you placed an order early for one card and you switch to another, it should have you higher up that list as well.

Could be wrong, just going by what I was told.

Some other's have reported this too and it worries me as I changed my FTW order to a GLH last week and was told I was 5th in the queue, so I should expect mine this week if 10 come in. I specifically did this on the belief that my queue position was fixed and whatever happens I'd get my GLH in the next batch.

Just been informed that my STIX order will be now 1st July. Ordered on 3rd June! Thats just under a whole month.

What happened regarding the order of 50 incoming this week? Already pre-allocated?? So tempted to rage quit the order and go with Founders....

upto 50 throughout the week. They've been receiving small batches of 10 here and there. The main shipment isn't due till the 1st July. Even then it more than likely won't cover all pre-orders as there is like 1000 and if you ordered on the 3rd, I doubt you'll be in the top 50 of the queue.

I totally get that OCUK arent at fault here, NVIDIA however...talk about supply and demand. Unbelievable.

Makes me laugh when some people claim the shortage is down to unprecedented demand when the likes of potentially the two biggest AIB partners can only manage 10 cards each per day.

This is why I changed my Strix order to the Gaming X, I was even further back than you looking at mid July. I'm usually a big Asus fan and my last 3 cards have been Asus Strix, but the large delays and drip-feeding stock really put me off (my frustration is entirely with Asus and not OCUK).

At least Asus are able to drip feed stock in, EVGA can't even manage that with the FTW!

It's not nvidia either in the case of ASUS. Apparently they set their expectations of their clocks, on the OC edition of the STRIX too high. So they've been finding it hard to bin enough chips to meet demand. Well that and general delays all around.

Welcome to the waiting party.

Apparently, the recent holiday caused zero or very few cards to be produced and that they are somewhat struggling to hit their advertised clocks. Hopefully they've sorted the issues out and things should start picking up.

With the delays I have honestly got to the stage where I have accepted it and just be patient. I've seen a lot of people jump ship to other cards to try and get their hands on a card but like all the third party manufacturers there have been delays here and there to some capacity. Plus I am away part of this week and all of next week with work so that should take my mind of things until I get back. By that time OCUK should have one ready for me.

Difference is that EVGA had other versions of cards so they could ship as the gpus made the overclocks no issue.

Am I not right in thinks Asus has put all their eggs in one basket with the fastest claimed pre overclocked speeds?

Very true, I guess I'll just have to either suck it up or look at the Founders (to which was my original choice)
