** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Difference is that EVGA had other versions of cards so they could ship as the gpus made the overclocks no issue.

Am I not right in thinks Asus has put all their eggs in one basket with the fastest claimed pre overclocked speeds?

Yeah gibbo said they were having trouble binning enough chips for the clock speeds of the OC version of the strix. That and the high demand worldwide for the strix.

Welcome to the waiting party.

Apparently, the recent holiday caused zero or very few cards to be produced and that they are somewhat struggling to hit their advertised clocks. Hopefully they've sorted the issues out and things should start picking up.

With the delays I have honestly got to the stage where I have accepted it and just be patient. I've seen a lot of people jump ship to other cards to try and get their hands on a card but like all the third party manufacturers there have been delays here and there to some capacity. Plus I am away part of this week and all of next week with work so that should take my mind of things until I get back. By that time OCUK should have one ready for me.

To a degree. But when you see that EVGA have shipped zero FTW cards to Europe yet and are a few weeks away and Asus have managed maybe 50 tops and then Gainward and MSI cards have been coming in 50 and 100 at a time, you do wonder what EVGA and Asus have done with all their chips.

Ordered my Gaming X 1080 lunch time Saturday. No dispatch email so I don't think I've been lucky enough to get one from this batch today unfortunately.

Does anyone know when the next batch are due in or is that it for this week now?

Just made the switch over to two Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme editions.

If it's true that we keep our queue positions, then I should be in the next batch hopefully.

Very true, I guess I'll just have to either suck it up or look at the Founders (to which was my original choice)

I'd wait it out if I was you if you got the pre-order before the price hike. You've made it this far and with them actually getting stock out, you're only a few weeks from potentially having the card.

I'd probably feel angry with myself/pee'd off if I cancelled and got a founders with the Strix round the corner.

Well according to Gibbo's post on the previous page

"MSI Gaming X - Any day this week, all some left for free stock"

How do they dispatch then?

Because I've heard nothing still and someone who's ordered Saturday hasn't either. Yet all the in-between has! :P

No shipping email for my Zotac Amp edition yet. Hopefully tomorrow. I believe Gibbo said Monday/Tuesday for the Zotac shipment. Interest seems to be a lot lower so hopefully I'm in the first batch. I really feel for people who are hearing July, especially when they ordered so long ago or are running integrated graphics only.

I honestly think the majority of cards they are producing at this stage are going to the US. They must think the UK market isn't in demand, especially with all the other manufacturers pushing product out in small amounts.

Places like Reddit have members from the US posting up their EVGA cards being delivered and installed with smiling faces, yet people in the UK are still waiting for a single unit to be shipped out. I know tech reviewers on YouTube are doing reviews of this card and I highly doubt they are shipping 1 card to 1 reviewer at a time. I suspect small batches are going out and are directly going to the "bigger" markets.

The way they've handled this is very unprofessional.

UK TAM is far smaller than other regions. But the reality is UK over performs its TAM everytime at new GPU launches.

OcUK is number one in whole of Europe for 1080, that says a lot considering our TAM is a lot smaller than countries such as Germany, Russia etc. :)

Yet people in US are up in arms as well. You only need to check EVGA forums and twitter. EVGA are only shipping about 10 a day to the US. Yes you are seeing smiley faces of the few who have got their EVGA. Not many.

And I bet even if the UK market punches above its weight, we are not as big as the US market to EVGA.

Like I said before, if you only have 10 cards each day do you ship 10 to the US or 3 to them, 3 to the UK and the other 6 spread round the world?

I ordered a Zotac AMP on release day too, fingers crossed it arrives soon. Thankfully I'm not on integrated graphics though :p

I know its hard to be specific when you're all so busy Gibbo, but are you expecting the Zotacs to be in part of that shipment?

Yay, I'm not the only one waiting for a Zotac Amp! I'd be interested in knowing when yours ships.
