Kids these days..

it's easy to say just ignore it , drive on, but everyone reacts differently
you were not really wrong in your reaction but as there was no harm done,i would advise just to leave it.

there is just no fear anymore, they know nothing will come of it if the cops get them
having said that kids will be kids and they just love winding people up and getting a 'chase'.
on a similar note, i gestured at a driver that came to close to me while cycling
he hit the brakes and was going to confront me but drove on. i was not hurt but he could have knocked me off so i just reacted. if they'd got out and started i'd be worse off i'm sure, so i've learned a bit and will just curse to myself from now on

"Kids these days" Some kids have always been fearless little ****s all the way back to the beginning of time. It's not some new phenomenon.

Not intimidating at all but I doubt that saves you from charges if you so much as clipped one round the head.

The best I could think of was taking the bike off him and telling him where I live when his parents want to get the bike back and discuss why I took it. Would have ended with bricks through the window probably.

I know life is too short for this, but if everyone takes the stance of apathy....

Ended with bricks through a window or coppers knocking on your door asking why scum like you would steal a kids bike from right in front of them.

Let them carry on like that, people like that learn the hard way when they meet people in less public places and give them a go or later when real life calls and they are overwhelmed by the fact that no one is willing to give them the time of day.

i cant believe you got out your car to run after them :p

little chavy kids do this 24/7 in my area they are kids.

running after them will often cause more agro than the actual incident. do people really get bothered by such trivial things ? :D

It's easy to say all this when you're sitting calmly behind a screen and have all the power of Captain Hindsight at your disposal.

This situation isn't quite the same thing as having kids randomly gob off when you're just walking down the street.

A sharp shock like that, topped off with your Mrs getting ****ged off and all kinds of chemicals are gonna be pumping through your brain.
It's not surprising tbh. Look at all the ridiculous road rage incidents that occur over far less.

It was a silly thing to do and the OP knows that. He even says that it happened before he had a chance to think.

To be fair, that's exactly the sort of stuff me and my mates would've done 30 years ago. And we'd have laughed hard as we cycled off whilst the unfit, middle aged driver, apoplectic with rage tried to catch us up lol.

Boys will be boys and they always have been.

And more power to them for it.

Pregnant goldfish is a bit tame though. At least they didn't drop the 'C' bomb on you hahaha.

The actual word used rhymes with hat.. still mild I know and again if it had been directed at me I think I'd have laughed more than anything.

Seriously, caveman brain kicked in and I really didn't think about what I was doing till I was half way down the road.

To be clear from the title onwards this topic is all a little tongue in cheek, I know I made a bit of a tit of myself :p
