** OcUK EXCLUSIVE: MSI 1080 SEAKHAWK EK X & IN STOCK NOW!! **

there are brands that cover for removal of fans. There are also other brands that offer WC for the 1080 that also offer warranty.

Its not the money. I'm about to spend double this at OCUK in the next few weeks and I've spent more in the past. stop acting like because they've stuck premium on it they can bend you over a barrel. You are falling victim to the notion of upselling.

Nor was the 50 quid or so the actual issue my post was replying to.

You posting that means it WAS such an issue to you. But yes, I do realise that the European pricing is a bit out in comparison to the USA pricing tbf.

If I've spent less than £60-70k with OcUK in the past I'd be surprised! But I HAVE been going there since 1999 :D

Er no, That wasn't my point. I posted in reply to 8 Pack's complaint over customers talking about the price and in reply to their prerogative to comment on it and how its to be expected, also about the grey area of the exclusivity deal brought up by billy_dane. I'm not complaining about the dollar/pound exchange or even the eventual price, the mention of cheaper prices elsewhere is in relation to why other people would comment on OCUK's pricing.

well that explains your sycophantic behaviour at least.

And what explains you behaving like an *******?
Interesting personal attack. I've explained my position whilst you've attempted to misrepresent it, that is all. I am not trolling btw, I am disagreeing with you, they are not the same thing.

If you want to penny-pinch then go troll somewhere else, you won't be missed :D
I've already covered that other particular attempt to insult, its not a money thing and I haven't replied to any posts about the price. It is not the topic. you are simply drawing it as a preferred argument that you have a repetitive singular comeback to.

Getting popcorn, most threads seems to devolve into some kind of personal attack.

So the card is £800. Who cares? Some people will pay, some will not, there is a lot of choice, a lot of cards that can be bought at different levels. Who cares about this one?

I have to hang my head in shame!!!!!

after all the moaning I did I just ordered!! Couldn't wait another month for the FTW + the water block which looks like wont be out from EK till mid July... although swapped some other bits out from my build and saved about 60 quid so softened the blow a bit.

////runs....

Yeah that's harsh. This thread says exclusive card. When it seemingly isn't.

It is! :)

Do they have stock no!
Order from them, see how long it takes to arrive if ever.

I have an exclusive agreement with MSI on this part, so that competitor can list all they want, getting is another thing, I shall keep an eye out to see if they order any from us. :)

OcUK has stock right now, no competitor does, I'd say thats rather exclusive myself. :)

Like I said earlier, you have stock, everybody else doesnt.

Seriously would a competitior really order from you and sell to their customer and take up to a £100 loss?

Or do competitors get "trade" rates?

Surely if they couldnt eventually source one from MSI they would just cancel the pre-orders?

Several competitors already buy items from us, we are a distributor as well remember, www.caseking.co.uk :)
Though in all honesty I block VGA cards, preventing our competitors from buying them, like the EK is blocked, a competitor can only buy it if they buy through the webshop at full price.

But on regular VGA lines, cases, coolers, chairs etc. of course they get trade rates. :)

2 QUESTIONS

1. When do you expect stock of the GTX 1070 EK X please?
2. And why is the 1070 version only a £100 premium on the Gaming X card wheres the 1080 version is £170?

Fancying two 1070 EK X as they work out only 31% more money than a single 1080 EK X :P

I have no cost on 1070 EK, so guessing, sometimes I set initial pricing to low, like Strix 1080 was, when we get real price and stock quantity we then adjust price accordingly. :)

Of course those who pre-order get the original lower price if it goes up.

grab 2 x 1070 aeros for 379 ea and in stock

grab 2 x blocks

= profit :)

Not really. 2 1070s aeros plus blocks and backplate = £489 so only a £40 premium and you are getting an AIB board, pre overlocked etc and no issue with warranty on fitting a waterblock etc.
