And that's why I never want rid of mine. Because I know years later I'll look back and be all regretful. It's not the kind of car that will ever be replicated in any other car ever again, from the engine to the styling. Can't be getting rid of that!
The indicators are on for such a short amount of time that it really doesn't matter. But either way, well regulated LEDs won't get hot, at least not to the point of melting anything they touch. They are not Cree 1000 lumen LEDs that must light up at that figure

Amber LEDs which are only blinking on and off very briefly won't get anything like hot enough to cause issues.

I think I'm the only one who always prefers chrome grilles to black on BMWs.
No, I also prefer sliver/chrome too!
So, after spending so much time polishing my Alhambra (see car cleaning thread), I decided to have a go at fixing the intermittently working electric windows.
So, managed to unplug the door loom from the cars body, pull back the boot, and sure enough, 2 broken wires.
Have a super cheap soldering iron kicking about, and managed to find an old ISO stereo adapter for a Peugeot 309. So cut out 2 lengths of wire, and proceed to "fix" the broken wires.
Well, space was tight. Soldering wasn't neat, and one finger was well and truly burned. Ouch. Still, when I put it back and initially tested the "repair" it worked great.
BUT, I had to remove it again to re-install the boot. Which wasn't so easy. The door pillar locking ring fell off, which meant I had to strip off the trim around the fuse box to get in behind to push the connector back out. Then reinstall the ring. Then reinstall the connector, with the boot fitted.
Finally got all that done, reconnected the battery, trim all back on. And it doesn't work. D'oh.
Will try again today or tomorrow.

Got the refurbished wheels back, gave it a decent clean and fitted a few other minor bits. Looks far better now.

How much are these worth now? Yours looks lovely.
IIRC (might even have been from when Lashout bought his), that they quattro sport models are surprisingly really really expensive. Like 10k expensive.
