Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

VAt is 20% so it's £205 with the same 10% extra the 1080 has, less than that without it. However the 10% isn't OCUK's margin.

When say Curries or something sell a TV with a £499 RRP, they don't buy it for £499 then try and sell it for 10% to make a 10% profit. The £499 price factors in a cut for distributors, shipping and retailer mark up. Adding extra on top of the RRP means EXTRA profit, not the only profit.

Oh I know this - why I did both -

Interesting, so that 6.3 run was with a 470 :)

why does it say in the slide 480 and in the disclaimer 470?

it was the 480, its slide 31's benchmark notes that has the info. But one thing that stood out is how it says '16.1.1' drivers... those are from january...

Here's the issue:

I have a 390x and am downloading the steamvr bench now. I'll post my results but I got a feeling I'm going to get much more than 6.3.

Funny that it states under embargo till june 13th ?

@ RedGoose, don't download Steam VR, that wont work unless you have a headset, just search SteamVR Performance Test, it will run without a download.

Well, adding a bit of fuel to the fire, and if you're talking about this...

...I contacted Sapphire thru their official FB page (linked from their global website), and this is the reply i got:

Take that as you like, but for me, this pretty much confirms the 1500+ OC capability. Wonder if it's on air, though.

looking at that cooler i would expect it to be pushing it on air more so if its upto 150w

I don't know. It might, but then again, this could just be a PR guy hyping favorable articles. Simply because someone at Sapphire runs the page doesn't mean they are privy to inside info.

The disclaimer is for slide 31. I'm seeing 480 8gb.

Yeah got it :)

Did you get this?

Don't get that and get a Dp1.2 cable. I had hell and all trouble with cables when running 144Hz and grabbed a UGreen cable and no problems since.

Interesting, i just bought the BenQ 1440p 144hz Freesync screen, waiting for it to turn up, will be interesting to see what cable they bundle with it.

I have a DP1.2 cable in my drawer here at work, infact i have about 15 of them lol, will just take one home anyhow.

Then this PR guy should be fired, because if you look at that page, that's mostly what his been doing. On the post where they link the article, it basically says: "The clock counts...and how it does!"
