** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

You have 14 days to return for a Full refund: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/returns

you forgot to click on the link for unwanted goods

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. For example, if it goes beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a shop. We will deduct this amount from the value of the refund.

the completely free return of goods you've used is no longer a thing, the shop can charge a restocking fee if you've done something with it that you wouldn't be able to do in a shop

you could chance your arm, but OCUK have commented on the forums before that they no longer offer a total 14 day no questions policy

coil whine could be a valid reason for a "faulty" return though depending on how bad it is and if you've tested it with another power supply - you actually have 30 days for faulty goods, and if the retailer got something wrong on the description you have up to 90 days report and return an item for "misleading" practices

In 3hrs time i've got to go passed ocuk, well roughly 1mile from it

Grrrrr, dunno whether to just get a founders and a block and be done with it

Braincell is getting over excited and frazzled

If your blocking it just buy a Founders card, Pascal responds to cooling way more than it does voltage and power phases, this is why custom cards offer small to no advantage when clocking on air and water. An FE card on water will boost to over 2GHz pretty much with no OC and my friends is at 2.2GHz overclocked.

People buy the custom cards more for aesthetics and improved cooling which give higher boost and overclocks due to running cooler. :)

Received my Gainward GS. Good temp. But disapointed... A lot of coil noise for me ! :(. I think i going to switch to the msi one.

I also got a Gainward GS and don't have an issue with coil whine/noise so it's not an issue endemic to those cards.
It's probably the most quiet bit in my PC that has a fan on it.
Certainly a lot quieter than my old reference 980.
I'm also upping the fan profile slightly as I've overclocked it to around 2050Mhz (without upping the voltage which I'll play around with next).
Tried to get it higher but kept getting display driver crashes.

Definitely getting mine for the aesthetics. At the end of the day, the GTX 1080 is a card that beats the Titan hands down and I'm coming from a 650ti lol

16nm process does not like voltage and does not need crazy power or phases when on air or water. :)

What counts is good GPU and good cooling, this is why Gainward did great with GLH as they bin GPUs and their cooler is huge that lowers temps resulting in great boost clocks. :)

Yeah - changed from FTW as the cooler looks a lot better on the GLH. Don't care that it looks awful!

Any news on if you will be getting any GLH in today?

Cheers

1080 Ti will be out before these 1080's come into stock :(

Which high end cards are the most likely to come into stock soonest now? I have 3 Strix on pre-order (one for friend) but I'm a little worried now because of a few bad QC reports. Wondering if I should pre-order 3 MSI / EVGA and cancel the order once I get shipping.

Gibbo, I know you are busy but do you have any info on the MSI Aero's. CS say they haven't received them and are only 'hoping' they come in. Each variant of the 1080 now seems to have come in at least in small batches and gone out to a few customers but nothing at all with the Aero's. I'm sat here in the dark (not literally) with no ETA and thinking about cancelling my order!

Do anybody else bin the chips Gibbo?
