This beautiful Brexiteer was apparently refused entry to the polling station!

Not surprising

Quite rightly Party Political clothing and Rosettes are banned in polling stations, only her own in bred stupidity is to blame here

I can't wait until this is all over, it's been an absolute drain to watch the people of this country tear themselves apart over this. Some of the bickering, insults and simmering anger has been so frustrating to watch. I'll be voting remain because of many reasons but mainly because on a broad level I think humanity should be working together, not segregating further.

I drive a lot and I've seen VOTE LEAVE plastered all over the streets and very little people claiming they are voting remain. All the passion and vitriol I have experienced has come from the Leave side of the fence. Pretty much any post about it on social media has been dominated by people spewing hatred. My own brother-in-law got so angry when he brought up the subject with me and my wife he had to walk out of the room. So much hatred and focus on immigration and people have so little understanding of just how many facets of our daily life that the EU has had input into and in most cases (not all) has improved.

I understand we need improved immigration controls, but I don't want them at the sacrifice of the benefits of the rest of the EU membership, it would be cutting off our borders to spite our national face.

Whatever the outcome is, and I hope we continue in the EU personally, I hope this doesn't cause violence or riots. I'll just be happy to see the pure vitriol subside after today hopefully.

I disagree with almost all of that. I don't share your utopian view.

How many of you are voting remain while your parents are voting leave (Or vice versa)? My mum is voting leave and my dad was still undecided but probably remain as of last night.

So my mother can ask an exit pollster how people have actually voted and was told (Remain firmly in the lead apparently where I live) but a computer forum can't host a poll on a forum??????

Correct because it's not been published if it's just mentioned over the phone.

I don't know - I've not asked my and I don't want to know.

I "think" I know what way they'll vote, but that's their business, not mine.

interestingly

I am 34

from conversations / social media posts etc (so completely unscientifically)

most people I know older than me are voting out
almost everyone I know my age is voting in
most people I know younger than me are unsure either way

perhaps this shows that older people remember "pre EU" UK
my generation were brought up during a time when Europe very positive wasn't so much of a controversial topic
younger people have seen the good (easy travel to Europe) and the bad (2007 recession/ Migrant crisis etc)

I can't agree more, I just don't think a result will necessarily mean this is over regardless of which way it goes.

I fear you're right... but I'm just fed up with it now. No matter what happens we will have other challenges to deal with tomorrow, but at least we will know where we stand.

Cameron will probably extend the voting for an extra 48 hours because people can't get to the polling stations in the last hour because of the bad weather.

You don't think people have the right to cast their vote? I thought you were confident of a leave victory being the will of the people.

Some polling stations have been flooded.

Still can't decide, knackered after being woken up by the rain and thunder. I think I'll take a walk to the polling station and see if anything becomes clearer.

I just cannot wait for all this to be over. So draining and divisive, full of deceit, aggression and scaremongering on both sides.

+1! it's actually quite sad watching it from the side, I'm unable to vote because I am a dirty jerb stealing immigrant so all I can do is watch and see what happens :o
