The EU Referendum: Polling Day

Yea, in the Guardian link he say people argue that in modern usage it's thing (probably Judas Priests fault :p) but he says thats still contentious, though the similar phonetics can explain the confusion, like should have and should have.

But Mad Hatter said it's always been thing, that's incorrect, it definitely was think even if it has evolved into thing

but he only said that due to the its think post. its not think it is either so both are wrong :p

makes a nice change from the eu rubbish.

I voted "Remain". I just felt I had to go for "Project Fear" over "Project Fantasy" I'm afraid:p. The risks in leaving were too high and the potential gains did not seem that great to me; I'm not too keen on giving the Westminster Politicians even more power given some of the decisions they've made either.

This is the one good reason to remain. But if the public act like the student doctors and say "we work too much" and then get more money and float away at our expense then we'll be okay.

Leaving the EU gives us, the British people, more power then, arguably, we have ever had!

I got my vote in at 7am this morning, going to be on night shift in front of a computer until 7am again, will be a nerve racking night.

Yes another think coming doesnt make any sense.

As your link states.

Another THING comming does make literal and grammatical sense

In the case of 'If he thinks he's getting that last piece of pie, he's got another think coming' it makes sense, but I suppose being brought up using thing it just....feels more right

but he only said that due to the its think post. its not think it is either so both are wrong :p

makes a nice change from the eu rubbish.

Definitely! :D

It makes sense as part of the context of the sentence...

"If you think that that, you've got another think coming" is like saying "If you like cats, great because you've got another cat coming" whereas thing would be like saying "If you like cats, great because you've got another dog coming"

It'll make your shift more interesting :) I'm just going to sleep, the last general election put me off "staying up all night" sessions, zombie the next day(if you know what I mean).

To be fair, Ed Milband would have been a disaster on reflection, although the NHS would have been better off.
