really surprising to see leave being dominant in my home county, bearing in mind pretty much its entire income is either based from EU farming subsidies or EU tourism.

Genuinely astounding but completely indicative of the people who have the brain cells to put one foot in front of the other all the way to the polling station.

And I'm not counting the majority of leavers in that either, but when you bite the hand that feeds what can you expect.

I'm in Wales, vote labour and I voted out. Looking good for what I want so far. Time to get out of the EU.

It's certainly looking to be a close result so far if it stays as is.

South (where I am) going to be quite heavily for leave apparently! Very surprising as it would be the area of the UK most for the EU I would have thought. That's certainly the case from the people I spoke to locally to me (Hampshire, Surrey areas).

Doesnt surprise me, almost everyone I've spoken to here in Hampshire has said they will be voting leave

Not many north west results in yet. I would expect areas like Preston will be strong for Leave.

A Labour MP arrested mentioned a few minutes ago on the BBC? What's all that about?

Well this is terrifying. Absolute shambles. Democracy at its worst.

It is terrifying. Even while we watch the pound plummet, a stark indicator of what is about to happen - people on here and elsewhere are cheering. Utter utter madness.

It'll come back up. It's always going to drop as people make a quick bit of cash off the turmoil.

Or democracy at its finest? A true vote by the people, for the people....whether you agree with the result or not is a different matter.

The worst part about democracy is that the uneducated and ignorant get a vote equal to everyone else.

Usually this is mitigated as morons don't manage to motivate themselves to get off the sofa and vote.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have happened this time. The biggest evidence is places like Wales, which are set to be hit very hard by Brexit, overwhelmingly voting in favour of Leave. Absurd, ridiculous, irrational voting. People voting to 'stick it to the man', not for any of the right reasons at all.

It's exactly people's opinions like yours that's made us morons want to get out and vote, if you've got nothing you've got nothing to lose.
