Didn't Johnson say this at the start of campaigning? A leave vote would give leverage for a far better deal and another vote?

Birmingham has voted to Leave EU. A fantastic result. I felt huge enthusiasm there when I visited.

A lot of these places that have voted leave are going to lose all those European grants they get... lots of leaver voters are in for a rude awakening

hardly... sure they'll lose EU grants but that is more a 'nice to have' thing than something they're completely reliant on or need

getting out of the EU could well turn out to be much better in the long run

It's mind boggling for me, I voted remain based on my own circumstances, but I'm looking at my relatives who quite literally depend on EU subsidies voting out at 60-70%.

But as we have been told again and again... irrespective of how accurate the numbers were.... where did those subsidies originate in the first place?!?!
