The pound, it is falling, it will continue to fall, it will take two years minimum to recover against asian markets and we make no electronic goods here.

The pound is falling, ok, but surely it's just panic? The UK is the 5th largest economy in the world, if electronic good manufacturers want to sell well and make profit in the UK, they could just lower their prices. We've always paid more in this country anyway...

The only short term consolation I can see from this dumb result is that the government can now save the billions they paid the EU annually to remain a member.

Yep, we dont need to have vat at 20% any more. We can have it anything we like. Since vat was a EU thing not a UK thing.

This is some interesting logic

well no.
its going to cost us more. we wont see a single penny of it to reinvest. as we are going to have to take on all those roles and actually the EU is extremely efficient,

No but Cameron has said time and again, he will follow the wishes of the people, even if it was only by one vote.. he has never said he would take it under advisement, have a think and go for another renegotiation with more leverage and a 2nd referendum!

If he calls a 2nd referendum, democracy is dead in this country!

Ah yes, he is one to keep to his promises isn't he... I appreciate that this promise carries more weight, but there is no guarantee...

Woke up around 2am and as I couldn't get back to sleep I watched the results come in. Scotland skewed things to start, but the slow swing the other way was strangely entertaining to watch.

Now the internet is in meltdown and I really wish today was my day off so I could watch the potential collapse of civilisation from the comfort of my own sofa, while drinking a nice cup of tea. :D

Dude, big businesses that have said they will be pulling out of the UK if we leave the EU and big banks and investment companies too arnt doing it because its fun. They are doing it because to them this is a disaster. So the pound shrinking like it is, is panic you are right, but very very justified panic.

As for paying more in this country, no, we actually had a pretty good deal there over other EU members, its a lot more for things like electronics in places like France, Spain etc than here
