** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

I can see both sides.

On the one hand because ocuk take your money on order it would seem mean that somebody who paid £600 on 27th May and then swaps a month later goes to the back fo the queue and has to wait another month.

On the other hand, somebody else waits a little while, reads reviews, see which cards are most likely to come in soonest and places an order for one of them and is 10th in the queue and stock due next day of 50, suddenly has 500 people swap over from another card and he is 510th and will be waiting a month. Perhaps he might not have ordered at all if he thought it was going to be a month instead of 2 days?

All other shops afaik put you to the back if you swap cards. But then again they don't have your money...............

Nobody made them swap, free choice and if it puts them into a two month wait so be it, their choice. If you choose to leave the queue you're in you are choosing to join the back of the other one. Its what most reasonable people would expect IMO and I'm certain if it was the case nowhere near as many would have switched. They'd have a choice, wait it out or cancel and get their money back if they don't want to be without it.

Agree that the practice of taking money before having goods to send is wrong but the only other UK site I use also takes your money without having any stock to send. And a German one did too. I had card orders with all of them and none of them had stock yet all took my money.

iM LUCKY, BOTH MY PREORDERS ARE PAYMENT ON DISPATCH. I can wait as I just bought £700 of watercooling bits yesterday so I have a massive build ahead before I need the card. Ill cancel one of the pre-orders when the other one dispatches.

And luckily one of my pre orders was the G1 for £530 before it went up to silly money.

What is this based on? Do you have any reason to say this other than your guess?

I would assume he's going by Ben from EVGA last update which is that FTW cards will start shipping to the uk around 1st of July

Depends where you are in the queue as to when you will get one. if first then 1st July, if 500th then mid to late july.

Ah ok I thought he knew something I didn't..

Wow after 5 results in on the reforendum sterling has dropped 4% already. If the leave campaign win, I can see all 1080 being £1000 tomorrow morning!

Guys how do you check what number in the cue you are?

Voted for remain, bet a cheeky £20 on leave as a consolation prize. I don't predict me getting a return on that bet. :)

Saw 10 to 1 for leave just before the polls closed. Wish I had put £60 on now. Would have paid for a 1080.

I can see leave winning. The areas in favour of remain have stayed home and very few voted. In areas in favour of leave they have come out on mass

Well looks like i solved my Strix coil whine problems, it was the psu all along. Ordered the EVGA SuperNova P2 850W and installed it today replacing a 7 year old psu and the coil whine has magically disappeared. So there u have it. Just a shame i had to spend £130 odd for the privilage.

Good news! Thanks. I'm glad you posted back here to explain the reason for this affecting you, gives me hope that my PSU and forthcoming Strix won't suffer the same whine. Happy gaming dude :)

whatever happened with EUrefoendum the sterling will dropped

Not true. Exchange rates improved 4 to 5%!ths week as remain polls looked like remain was Going to win.

As soon as 5 votes are in and it looks like a leave vote, it drops 4%.

If remain wins I expect sterling to be 5%up. If leave wins it will be 10%+ down. So that's a 15% increase on all imports eg gtx cards.
