What I meant was, why would all the Brits in the EU all lose their jobs, I thought the EU protected workers?

Protected their workers. Brits would not be part of the EU so....

In reality I'm sure it would all depend on a deal. Perhaps we will have a situation that anyone in another country (either brits in the europe or europeans in the UK) today will get a no quibbles non expiring work visa or something like that.

Just thought...NO MORE TTIP :D

Well, not really. The US could try to negotiate something similar directly with us. At least we have a chance of some direct influence on the conditions by way of protest. We've already seen that it's possible to force a U-Turn on government policy and the Tories should quite rightly have a bit more respect for those they represent now.

...people who want to work in those industries? Why can't people come work in those industries if we are not in the EU.

Farmers Weekly, which i read, had an EU poll a month ago, 60% leave it was.

Yes and they will whinge the most in the next five years.
They voted, they got what they wanted.
Now wait for the absolute whinging.
Mark my words, no one will cry louder than the farmers.

Jesus
I'm glad I took half my investments out of the stock market before this hit

This is going to be pretty awful isn't it.
There are going to be a lot of people feeling pretty silly with their vote in a months time I think

I may be wrong but I think this will be worse than the 2008 recession

It's so wonderful seeing people like you ****ed. ME ME ME

If 16.8 million votes is the magic number, less than 400k votes needed, with 14 results still to come in.

what exactly is the worry.... guy with no skills from Romania no longer allowed... but more room for non-EU person with sufficient skills to score required points...

as for financial services - yup the city could take a bit of a hit, but it will survive... plenty of other major financial centres are not in the EU either

trade is increasingly global - no reason in particular why we need to be so closely integrated to the countries that happen to be right next to us

So basically ... More muslims, less christians...?;)

Serious point, who is going to pick the vegetables you eat, and work on the farms for the livestock we eat now that the workers won't be here, and the subsidy the farmers get is gone.
Not immediately of course but over the next couple of years?
The trouncing the economy will take coupled with the loss of income will mean we cannot just pay for that farming subsidy from the taxpayer purse.

Expect tesco prices to slowly rise and rise.

why do you think there would be a shortage of people willing to do that work... no reason why we couldn't allow visas for seasonal agricultural workers where needed
