The original vote to join was made by those older people at the top too. So they just undid their original decision in some cases.
I was told by some truly ancient peeps that the original vote was considered a deception in retrospect
Correct, they didn't vote for this version of the EU, it was sold as a trading block.

So many of the remain people on FB throwing the toys out the pram its quite sad really.

tbf, all any FB user has had to listen to over the passed 2 months is Vote Leave people spouting crap about how they want to make Great Britain great again and other meaningless soundbites.

Wouldn't have been complaining about the size of the majority if it had been 52/48 remain...

I voted remain and that person is an idiot. Of course they wouldn't say the same if it were reversed.

Get behind the majority of votes and do what needs to be done.

Democracy only functions with an informed electorate.

Deserves a repost in SIZE 7!

I can give my opinion on anyyyyy topic you want, but for most of the topics, it'll probably be complete crap because I won't know anything about the topics bar what I've seen on Facebook or down the pub.

Wow - wasn't expecting that when I went to bed. What a historic night, I'm pleased and so excited about the future. Whoever leads us going forward must respect this referendum result while at the same time acknowledge that 48% of voters wanted Britain to remain part of the EU. The whole country is worse off when you get huge swathes of the population who feel they aren't being listened to - we should never repeat that mistake.

totally stupid, its done and dusted.
any thing to try and not go through will just lead to a very strong euro skeptic government at next election which would just issue notice then.
it's utterly pointless to try and change the choice we've made.

Another gem (from the same person)

Reject Fear. Reject Hatred. Reject Injustice. REJECT LEAVE! We simply can not allow this to happen, 72% turnout is not enough to make such a drastic decision. Please do more now the vote has passed, drag your feet, raise your voice, email your MP, MSP, MEP.

And theyre only informed if they agree with you.

Not at all. The electorate in this country haven't been well informed for a long time. That's how the £350m claim and the idea that Labour caused the 2008 recession weren't quashed immediately.

I feel like we have voted leave for the wrong reasons. Old people trusting the government with their pensions and health care now trusting them with everything else. Laughable. I think we will live to regret it if this really happens

Wow the 'saltiness' has changed hands since last night - lot of smug people looking very silly.

Good result - time for change.

Aye, there's quite a collection of self appointed experts and born know all's with egg on their face this morning. :)

Hahaha

Well despite all efforts of scaremongering, threats, bullying, warnings, invasions, torture and the use of an MPs killing as tools to influence the electorate the people saw through all the lies of the remain campaign.

Good luck to Britain, now we have our sovereignty back and we say hello to the world

No salty is when your team loses to a rival or just when your jealous and keep complaining, trivial things... Knowing your friends might lose their small business because their profit margin has just been eaten up by the devaluation for the pound as they rely on EU trade. Nice to know that the a small amount of immigration means more to leave voters than peoples livelihoods.
