What about parts for new planes? I assume jigs and bits like that would be manufactured specifically for each design. As you say it's unlikely any current designs will be relocated, but parts for new aircraft...?

Well our newest planes are the 350 and 330neo projects both are here in the uk.

And like i said the major issue for them is akills and manpower the wings are far more technical than the rest.

There's always teams from the uk going out to the euro plants theres never teams from the euro plants comming here.

To get a successful new wing up and running on time it needs to be done in thier "center of excellence for wing manufacture" which is here.

The much bigger worry is planning permision.

Airbus had basicaly been told they cant build any more on the site.

So weve got massive new automated high tech jigs going into a building thats over 75 years old.

Digging the foundations for them delayed them for months as they found all sorts down there including 2 kerosene tanks holding thousands of gallons of fuel just concreted under the floor.

Haha, I know.

He actually thinks that taking a PHD in space blah blah blah *snore* makes any difference to the nation.

The butt hurt is funny though :D

The thing is though, that the net contribution to the economy over a working lifetime is about 25x that if the average farage supporting sun-reading xenophobe.

So you lot can call it boring/irrellevant etc. all you like. Then again, if you paid attention to all of the numbers, facts and reason then you wouldn't have voted leave....would you?

Unfortunately, no matter what the outcome was, both sides of this have failed the people and have sown discord and division all over the place.

Thank you! I've been saying this for the past month anytime this horrible discussion was brought up.

I remember seeing him interviewed.

"If we leave, will you resign as it can't be tenable to stay due to conflict of interests?"

"No, absolutely not."

And David Cameron has resigned.... So much for keeping your word lol.

I didn't see that, but the interviewer had it right. His position was completely untenable and how can someone that doesn't believe it is the right decision lead us into a non-EU future? It needs to be someone that believes in it, but is also a strong and capable leader.

I'm not seeing many of them around.

He's actually right, and he's arguing in a manner which does not resort to personal attacks, something I'm glad most of us are capable of.

For those that do post personal attacks in this thread - or anywhere on this forum- you will be suspended. I've handed out four suspensions in the last five minutes, and won't hesitate to do so again.

I don't wish for this thread to be closed, but if people can't debate about this without resorting to personal attacks and name calling, then I'm afraid you won't debate about it at all.

Could you perhaps choose a better colour?

Edit:

Damn you.
