I've been talking to people in Germany, and listening to a number of speeches and asking for the jist of a bunch of speeches I don't understand from people who speak the language and I have to say, I'm horrified. The UK is not going to be allowed to set the timetable on this.

The eu don't get decide when wet enact article 50

Why will anyone want to invest in the uk now, it would not make economic sense to do so

Yet EU markets are doing worse than the FTSE...

Probably because 1% is the slimmest of majorities and people actually care enough to get upset? I agree the name calling is childish but its understandable.

It wasn't a 1% majority though?

Thats about as likely as the fingernail I bit off last night becoming sentient, waking up and making me a Coffee.

Demonstrating 0 knowledge of how Gibraltar views/viewed the referendum and its repercussions for us.

Agreed, Gibralter will join the new UK made up of them, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. I suspect the Republic of Ireland will even join them too.
Andi.

That's rubbish. It's like saying the Falkland island is going back to Argentina. Get a grip.

The difference between Argentina and Spain is that we're not going to be begging on our hands and knees for a deal that lets us get the same terms to trade with Argentina. I don't think we'll give up Gibraltar (I wish I could spell that without the spellchecker) but I think a shared-sovereignty deal is on the cards now we've chosen economic insanity and are going to have to go begging to the EU with a veto option from Spain.

One thing is for sure, the political landscape has changed for decades. Whether for good or ill... that remains to be seen.

This thread is so salty.

The most vocal remain are now claiming it's the end of the world.

The most vocal leave are saying we left and it's the reason it's sunny.

I'm just happy I'm on holiday next week.

There's a really good chance that the company my mom works for moves their London branch to the mainland and she loses her job.

But yea, maybe some positive thinking will help her?

My company (German) has said that it will be business as usual for us, change is highly unlikely, so that's good news at least.

I think the leave voters are going to be massively disappointed when the trade negotiations start and they see what we will have to agree to to get near what we already had. From what others have said there are some nervous workers at Nissan this morning and I doubt they are the only ones.

The vote in the North East was all about immigration. Its all that was ever mentioned in conversation.

As I have said previously the whole thing was a farce, requiring a Yes or No answer to a very complicated question the result was always going to be wrong.
