You didn't think shops wouldn't take advantage?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Wow the card i have on preorder has gone from £579 to £608. Quite the increase given the pound is going back up (currently £1.38996 i think?)
EDIT Scratch that £1.39310 now
rates not dropped to 1.35, in fact they have improved yet every card gone up 10%?????
it already has - the palit was 599 this morning, now 630 and that is even with Gibbo saying no price rises until 3pm, added to the fact that the pound is 2% of where it was yesterday...
the pound might have another wobble later today when the US markets open, but it has been at 1.42 for weeks on the fear of a no vote, so most of the value position was already priced in to the market, some people will have a big sell off but then it'll bounce back
I'm actually taking advantage when it dips and trying to get some money back in to the UK from a couple of overseas investments
Fortunately stock like Palit 1080 we purchased in GBP so we can hold price at £599 and stay at or under old MSRP but the rest of 1080 range will go up £60 and all other components also effected.
I shall update prices at 15:00 today so I'm giving you time to order!

Yeah I'm seeing that now. So much for the palit staying at £599 because it was bought in £.
Hot air :/
Come on wait a few hours, I imagine it's a pretty messy situation for them - they can't change the prices every ten minutes.
I'm sure they'll do everything possible to fix prices once this thing eventually stabilises.
I decided I want to change my Inno3Ds Twin X2s because of the power connector. Monitoring it in software I saw the power draw hit 220W which is at the limit of the single 8 pin. Decided to order my replacements this morning before the price increase, I'm glad I did. I'll sort out processing the return over the next few days.
Yeah I wondered the same about the Pallit price.
Guess like the other thread suggested, you can't take Gibbo's word for it all the time and he's just a salesman?

Or maybe he said something wrong?
You're blowing this out of proportion making OCUK sound like the worst retailer all of a sudden![]()

Just a bit galling when you post that no increases until 3pm and stuff paid for in sterling wont be affected and then 20 minutes later BOOM.
Is it really out of proportion? Telling the userbase they have until 3pm to order, only to raise the price minutes later, is really shady. I think people are right to be a little irked. Especially when one of those models was said to have no price changes, regardless what happens.
Most items are on 30-60 day Accounts so items in stock now not paid for have to go up otherwise when we pay we have a massive loss on exchange rate variance so the effect is quite immediate!
