Well at various times the 480 has been compared to a 280X, 290, 290X, 390, 390X, Nano, Fury, Fury X, 970, 980, 980Ti, Titan & a 1070. Have I missed any?
380 and Gtx 780

A nice number of pictures here of the XFX RX480 Black Edition (one with backplate)

Also note that all of his benchmarks are done on older drivers that ship with the part. 16.5.2

Third pic down.. a DVI adapter?![]()
Why ?

Just single link though by the looks.
Hope its DVI to DP rather than to HDMI, which is what i got with my 7950.. else that adapter will be pointless with the 480 only having 1 HDMI port LoL
AMD said:The Radeon™ RX Series is a disruptive technology that adds rocket fuel to the VR inflection point, turning it into a technology with transformational relevance to consumers.”
380 and Gtx 780![]()

You missed the 380 and 380X obviously![]()

It is DP to DVI, it says on the box shot.
The card from the box shots also appears to be factory overclocked to 1328mhz.

Because AMD have said this is going to be a disruptive card that shakes up the whole market.
So if it's basically a 390/X replacement at a similar price or slightly lower, and then nV release a card that equals it... well, wouldn't that make AMD's proclamation a bit silly? It wouldn't?
Is a disruptive technology something that performs as expected, and something your rivals can easily match with their own products? If so then I don't understand what's so good about a disruptive technology
It's not just some people in this thread who have been building hype. AMD themselves have built this card up to be something special... something out of the ordinary. "The biggest jump in performance for decades" they said.
Is this AMD's own problem for over-hyping this card?
expectations real?
It's a budget GPU aimed at midrange, what expectations do people have?
0.0
Anyways looking forward to seeing what these can do, not long now. Reading some of the butt hurt comments is worth a laugh too.

If the 1060 will be released for 200 dollar It will mean the disruptive part worked
If the 1060 is more expensive it worked
It's a win win for AMD
I can upgrade to a new technology Card that performs for only 200 dollar
The whole point comparing the 480 to older cards is mute
The whole pricing of cards did come down considerably Because of this release
