Oh I'm not sure about that especially from the likes of ASUS and EVGA I'll be surprised really, I know one thing though EVGA have to pull their fingers out their ***
I'm in 2 minds to just switch back to a FE now. All his uncertainty, waiting lists blah blah just to get a tiny performance boost and better aesthetic...My bro has his EVGA FE running at a stable 2.1ghz and cancelled his order for a Strix 3 weeks ago due to the situation. I held on and have to say my enthusiasm around this launch has been seriously dented. lets see if we get some positive this week!

haha yes they really screwed up this release. Sorry evga, but it's true.
Just tweeted him myself thank you for that looking at his twitter gives me hope of getting my cards shipped on the 1st.

if that's the case I might have to cancel my Zotac and grab the FTW instead. Whichever comes first I suppose.
Not possible on auto fan unless ambient temperature is like 10c. Otherwise the reference version will throttle after 5 mins or so on a demanding game with auto fan.
For myself waiting is not so much the issue got 980SLI here but I am getting bored and want my new cards!
Where did you buy them from? Didn't think anyone had Aero stock.

At least the Zotac has been in. EVGA has yet to deliver. Asus and EVGA have the highest per-orders. You might have to wait even longer if you switch,but go on then.

EVGA told me at the conference they will try to ship a few hundred FTW to OcUK end of next week or week after if all goes to plan and will try to clear all 300 back orders we have on that SKU.
Fingers crossed, all goes to plan and EVGA clear all our backorders.

Ship out from EVGA end of next week, so it would be the week after into us, and nothing is confirmed this is merely what they said and hope to do.
They keep shipping, but the shipments are small like deliveries of 10 units two to three times per week.
They said they expect to ramp volume dramatically in July and hope to clear our near 1000 pre-orders by end of July.
