** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

They keep shipping, but the shipments are small like deliveries of 10 units two to three times per week.

They said they expect to ramp volume dramatically in July and hope to clear our near 1000 pre-orders by end of July. :)

I suspect the 1st July ETA date on the web-shop is at best, a fantasy then.

.....at 194 in the queue, this tells me I might get may card 2 months from ordering on 30th May.......

..I'm off to find a wall to bang my forehead against........

.....Thanks for the update though, Gibbo.

Appreciate its not OCUK's fault - but someone does need to take Asus to one side and have a very serious chat with them. Send them to their room to have a think about what they've done......(or not done, as is more pertinent here).

Where did you buy them from? Didn't think anyone had Aero stock.

from a tree site they had 5 in stock on Friday I had two of them and rest went in 2 hours don't think many people wanted them but when they found the 1080s in stock they grabbed them

Still only FE cards available? You would think nvidia would drop the prices on those to cause a frenzy, Or give them cards to aib to stick an aftermarket cooler on them.

Hi there

EVGA told me at the conference they will try to ship a few hundred FTW to OcUK end of next week or week after if all goes to plan and will try to clear all 300 back orders we have on that SKU.

Fingers crossed, all goes to plan and EVGA clear all our backorders. :)

Hoping on at least 200 as I am number 160 haha! So let me get this straight they ship to you on the 1st july then when do they get shipped to us?

So which 1080 is the best to get if planning to EK watercool it ?

Flounders or any reference AIB board.

So £525 to £619 depending on what you want to pay.

Personally if watercooling you may as well buy the cheapest AIB reference card.

The price difference will buy the waterblock.

Why I wanted the Aero got it all setup with the blocks now has not gone above 48c in any 3dmark or Heaven test going to have to do some longer then 20mins testing :) witcher 3 should be good for that

Based on pretty much all reviews - it doesn't seem to matter what card you get provided it has a decent cooler (e.g; No founders), since max is around 2.1ghz due to being limited.

Doesn't matter if you've got an 8pin or 8/6pin, at the moment you top out and it's silicon lottery.

I went for EVGA 1080 Superclocked for four reasons, price warranty, custom cooler and reference PCB so easy to find blocks (I won't watercool - but gives me more options when selling in future).

was going to get one but.. long story short my friend wanted to buy my 1070 FE but I lost the screws so had to buy a 1080 FE to replace the screws .. ops

Hi there

AMP Extreme 1070, we expect a few hundred any day this week, that will clear all backorders and leave plenty spare, we then expect a further 500 of these next week. This is great because it is one of the best 1070's on the market due to the cooler and 5yr warranty. :)
