But then we'd miss out on all the invaluable input of all the highly respected experts here who have carefully and painstakingly researched Facebook and Twitter over hundreds if not thousands of seconds, the mind readers who know what others are thinking and indeed the time-travellers who already know the future! All that amazing data and informative dialogue would be lost in some dusty old Forum no-one visits.

Sure, i vote for moving all political threads to speakers corner and the banning of anyone who continues to post them in gd.

Only when this has been set in motion shall i actually bother to ask what the consequences of this decision would really mean for us.
 
Im ok with a subforum if we allow all the semi-xenophobic, uninformed elderly to vote for the subforums future even though they will be dead in a few years and wont have to live with the outcome

Only if we have some really good campaigns for the pros and cons.

One can tell us all about how those who vote in favour get full control of it and they'll be free to post what they like and do what they want and the forum will be magnificent.

The other can tell us all about how we won't have control because the mods won't allow it. This campaign can be dismissed as false though because the person who said it is an Admin and has a vested interest.
