We aren't in the EEA. We are in the EU. Norway, Iceland and Liechenstein are in the EEA. They have free market access to the EU and can also go out and get their own free trade agreements with other countries without relying on the EU. Switzerland is not in the EU or EEA but has a similar position.

Because you can't do it all at once..

As Said earlier in the thread, you need to get out with basic safegaurds and some semblance of economic trading blocks to stay afloat and calm the markets.
Once that is done, THEN you can move on to sort your trade deals out with whoever.

Maybe someone can correct me but doesn't the EEA require we keep an awful lot of laws that weren't made by us anyway? Including future ones?

now that the dust as settled what's going on? Has any plan been announced by boris and gove? Sleeping pattern has been a bit screwed up after doing a all nighter so not upto speed.

Why would the public accept joining the EEA what's wrong with just joining the EFTA like Switzerland?

The referendum is not a legally binding position that has to be adopted, it is actually only an advisory. Our democracy is that we vote in a government that votes on laws / policy. So technically they can boot this out in parliament and it is still democratic. if we then don't like it I am sure that the same excellent turnout will come for the next general election and vote a new government in right, because that is our democracy.
