I am currently getting car insurance quotes for my wife but I own the car and I am the registered keeper.
Her insurance quotes go up by approx £130 with adding me as a named driver as I had an accident in December 2014.
I currently have my own insurance on another vehicle and am covered to drive any other vehicle as long as it's not owned by me.
Is it Okay to sell the car to my wife and make her the registered keeper so that we both have separate policies but I can still drive her car (on my insurance)
FYI - I very rarely drive my wifes car but need to be able to on occasion (such as MOT time or driving back from the pub after a meal if she had a drink and I didn't)
