Indeed. I think that when the dust settles down, the SNP will be on a slow decline.

You really have not got a clue (Just like Boris) what you are talking about. Membership has increased in there thousands since last week. The real decline is what is staring you in the face i.e. Westminster politicians they have now shot themselves in both feet now once with the expenses scandal and now with EU ref.

The credibility of MP's at Westminster has now reached as low as you can go, I hope the rest of EU treat was is left of UK with contempt and make continuous calls for the next Tory leader apply Article 50 ASAP and at that point Scotland will be leaving the failed disjointed Union. At least us in Scotland have some chance to escape this madness with some proper leadership in Scotland will we witness the Tories fighting each other, Labour imploding and pound & shares failing, What was that they said in 2014 we are "Better Together" my a**e.

There is zero doubt that the surge in racist nationalism has been provoked by the Brexit. Unfortunately, those idiots will use it as an (temporary) excuse to make the voice heard.

The point is more that with the entire world watching these reports, the UK is seen to be dissolving into this sort of behaviour as if it's acceptable as a result of the campaign and referendum result so it's effectively ruined our international reputation as a tolerant, progressive nation that welcomes people.

When these people start using guns and bombs like in other countries you may have a point.

My wife received her first bout of racist abuse today after being in this country for 32 years, assume this is just a coincidence?

project fear............

these morons simply will not admit that the 2 are correlated. I was born in this country and lived here all my life. The last time I was racially abused was in the 80's when it was fairly prevalent. Yesterday was the first time in over 25 years that I had been on the receiving end of racial abuse. If anyone says that it is coincidental they are in denial.

Oh be quiet, it's nothing at all, just some drunk chaps with a banner. Sit down and have a cuppa, it'll all blow over!

I know (or hope!) You are being sarcastic but it wasn't until Friday my Portuguese wife was told "get on boat and **** off home". That's never happened before.

To many people don't realise just how far up the proverbial creek we are now.

It would have happened regardless, the remain campaign and media plastering the leave campaigns Controlled migration as no migration was one of the biggest problems.

My wife received her first bout of racist abuse today after being born in this country 32 years ago as she was speaking Italian to a friend, assume this is just a coincidence?

Very sad to hear this.

I was remain, and still would be for many reasons, but I honestly didn't expect things like this to happen in this country as a result of a Brexit vote. I guess I had more faith in our nation than I should have.

Ridiculous situations :(

Tweets and Facebook comments recording actual events. Also, did you miss the many news reports in that album, complete with photos? This stuff is actually happening. Denial is useless.

It's been happening since to dawn of time my friend. Guess what, thousands of incidents of racism occur every day, this is no case of zero racism prior to Friday and now suddenly 10% of the country have turned into Nazis overnight.

The main difference is its getting media coverage creating the illusion of it being something new or somehow on an alarming rise.

It's sickening, I really hope it's just a temporary thing and doesn't continue.

She was very upset, as she is dual nationality and treats both UK and Italy as her home. She now feels less welcome in her own country because of the fact she has 2 passports and speaks a different language.

Guys I was being sarcastic based on people here dismissing the reports of increasing attacks. Maybe the  didn't make it clear enough lol

I am obviously concerned about it all too, considering I may be affected by it myself.

Well this is rather sad. And that link (now removed) posted earlier

This.

Watch the language.

Thats not what I said - but hysteria and tarring everybody with the same brush is unhelpful and divisive.

Now you know how all the immigrants feel who were being tarred with the job stealing and benefit scrounging portrayed by Farage and his cronies

My biggest worry right now, is that as far as I could tell, prior to the 22nd of June we had a fully functioning country with a good economy and no real reason to do anything rash or silly, it was all just fine really. (it really was)

Now we seemed to have been baited into kicked all of that to death, poohing over it, smashed it up whilst proclaiming "Yeah! England!"

I'm totally and utterly confused, I have no idea why we just did what we did as a nation, I have no idea what's going to happen - the people in charge seem to have no idea either.

It's the one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.
