The short term issues from this might be bad, but I genuinely believe long term this will be for the best.
Exactly, it's been less than a week. This was to be expected.
Get a grip people.

isn't this how Nazi Germany came to pass ? Open and blatant racism being accepted / having a blind eye turned to it because it's just a few "skinheads" who don't have a platform............ we just gave them a frigging platform and filled the sails full of wind.
This is going to get a lot worse before it gets back to normal. Closet racists are crawling out from all kinds of rocks as they now feel validated. It's already happening where I live and I am seeing it firsthand.
that's not the point. The point is that these 2 thinga are correlated. it's not just a wild coincidence that in over 25 years I haven't received this kind of abuse, yet suddenly after a vote which was heavily leverage on "take back control" which goons have interpreted as send them back, it's like being back in the early 80's when I had grown adults shouting at me while doing my paper round to **** off home.
I went into Stevenage town centre on sunday as normal to do my shopping and had 3 sepparate incidents of **** off home, to the point where my missus (English) said come on lets go we can't stay here.
Unless you have lived through that appalling time in the early 80's where this stuff was rife you have no idea, concept or understanding of what it feels like. SO don't start lecturing me on what it's like or the fact that it's ilegal and to call the police. The fact is it shouldn't be happening in the first place. But now that we have effectively validated the racist element, it's going to get worse.

project fear............
these morons simply will not admit that the 2 are correlated. I was born in this country and lived here all my life. The last time I was racially abused was in the 80's when it was fairly prevalent. Yesterday was the first time in over 25 years that I had been on the receiving end of racial abuse. If anyone says that it is coincidental they are in denial.
I haven't personally witnessed any. Not denying the Britain Firsts types might be shouting a bit louder a the moment but I'd like to see some figures to show there has been a "massive increase" in racist incidents. I guess we'll have to wait for the police figures.
However, I feel many butt-hurt remainers are using these isolated incidents, as they did with Jo Cox, as a disgusting tool to create even further divisions in our communities. The hysterical view on this and all but advising anyone not white or English born they should be scared to leave the house is a horrific attempt to create a self fulfilling prophecy.
he entire plan is FREEDOM - ignoring her own democratic referendum.....
on Friday I said no chance, now I say some chance. So is there any possibility we say to the EU, sorry guys this was all a terrible mistake, and we're actually going to stay, would they even accept that and allow us to stay? Or are we out on our ears?

I'll just leave this here as the thread is moving too fast for me to keep up for today.
"Remember, it didn't start with gas chambers. It started with politicians dividing the people with 'us vs them'. It started with intolerance and hate speech and when people stopped caring, became desensitised and turned a blind eye."
I'm sorry that happened to you, honestly I am, I voted Leave and I will and have challenged racists in public on the spot. I've challenged BNP supporters in my home town before on their views, I've stuck up for my gay friend at the pub when someone accused him of "looking at him" funny . There's never any excuse for any sort of discrimanatory behaviour at all.
This how ever doesn't mean I'm going to regret my vote, otherwise the racists have won.
yepDidn't Farage say that if the result was 52/48 there should be a revote? I wonder why he hasn't called for that since the result.
