A huge MSI shipment, and they don't throw in any Aeros. MSI are a cruel bunch of teasers.

Well, rather stupid of me but i opted to buy my system elsewhere - following a good writeup i had seen in PC Gamer magazine. I'll admit i was enticed by the price and spec but since I placed the order their CS has been rubbish! yes, I accept the hold up has been by ASUS but to not have the option to offer alternative products (Like OC) has caused this headache. To quit now and wait weeks for a refund and start again would see me at the bottom of every queue out there - so i'm pretty much holding on like everyone else. I posed the question on the ASUS UK FB page 2 weeks ago and they duly failed to give any kind of response. A lesson learned about where to spend my ££ I think.

The strix might not have had sch a huge back log if the system builder gave you more options to choose from of point of sale

I could only choose strix or the msi gaming via the website when I purchased mine

I changed from the strix to the GLH which has made my system ship today. More choice though might spread the demand accross cards though rather than just one or two

Asus ROG UK are saying 1000 are on their way to the UK.... how many OcUK will get is anyone's guess, but here's hoping they have enough pre-orders to justify a large scoop of that.

could "this" Friday really mean this Friday for the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming? or should I jump ship and change my order to Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming ?

I missed that, haven't been following the thread very long.

I saw earlier there were Armor OC's in stock on the live site but mine haven't been dispatched :/ Do they appear there because of the Warehouse stock system, rather than actually having actual spare stock, do you think?

I can only upgrade regular orders, I did all of these, Amazon orders I can't do as cannot see them, I did inform CS to upgrade Amazon orders, but no idea on status of what and if all were done.
 
Just wandered randomly into the Gaming X product page and it said 2 were in stock ( despite the listing page saying preorder ) - so did a snap buy - hope I made it in time!

I can cancel my FTW order the moment I get shipping confirmation ;-)

I'm the guy who snapped the other one.
I'll keep it sealed until Friday just in case Strix comes in stock. Otherwise I'm going with MSI, and I said never to this brand, sic!!

I have a hybrid on pre-order, but I was considering switching to the gigabyte xtreme waterforce (it'll cost a bit more and probably won't really be any faster, but the extra hdmi's might be useful for my Vive and the colour fits in more with my SOC champion ;) ).

I opened a webnote enquiring about the delivery dates and was told they're hoping that the cards will arrive this week, which surprised me given EVGA have started saying mid-July instead of early July?

Mine should be a regular? I see the OC version on the order... I paid with PayPal if that makes any difference? Am I better off cancelling and reordering a different kind if that's not upgradable?

Would love that to be true but all other indications are we will be waiting a while. There aren't any reviews of the card and the clock speeds etc aren't even known yet

Interesting. I'm number 3 in the queue for the Hybrid so I'm pretty committed even if it's mid July.
