Guys, my friend wants a cheap PC for surfing the net, no gaming.

I thought that the Core i3-6100 3.70GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 CPU would be a good choice. Or, Pentium Dual Core G4400 3.30GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151

What motherboard would be best to go for as it needs to be cheap but a good un! mATX should suffice in size or ITX. Case will fit either.

He has a case and a nice PSU and SSD. I would need to get 4gb DDR3 too.

Any help would be great.

Ive used the asus in a build and it hasn't blown up and Im sure the Gigabyte wont blow up either.

They both take DDR4, so grab the cheapest 2400MHz kit you can find.

He only requires one motherboard though.

Which CPU should he go for? Thanks

Then flip a coin and pick one of those two, they will just "do the job".

For the usage you said a pentium will do the job, should he ever want to add a gfx card and play a game the i3 will be great.

Thanks Stulid. Pentium it is then. Those board have onboard GPU?

Yes, the cpu has the actual gfx core inside it, the board just passes it through to connectors at the rear.

Yes, that shouldn't be an issue. RAM that is rated at 2400MHz, can be run at 2133MHz. Mine is rated at 3000MHz, but can also be run at 2666, 2400 or 2133MHz.
