Can I Prevent Forums Being Marked As Read?

Howdy,

Is there an option to prevent the OcUK forums from marking all threads as read when I leave? Other boards I use leave threads/posts marked as unread until I either read them, or manually mark them as read.

Just wondering!!

It works that way for me, are you clearing your cache or blocking cookies?

Do you login using incognito mode so you can flick between pornhub and magnolia threads?

I believe it does depend on how the admin has configured that option as some forums I frequent that use Vb don't mark threads as read when you log out and I have to go through the mark forums (or channels if the forum uses Vb5) read before logging out.

Never worked for me. Be whether mobile, pad, home computer or work, everything is marked as read, just the same as the OP.

Ah, if it's an admin setting, not much to be done then. Weird that Nate isn't affected though.

Yeah, same as you Greebo - been this way for years, on multiple devices, browsers, operating systems etc.

I'm sure some prefer it that way, but I don't have time to read everything that interests me in one sitting - would be nice to be able to continue individual threads exactly where I left off.
