Austrian Grand Prix 2016, Spielberg - Race 9/21

I'm not trying to wind anyone up with this, but a legit question as I don't have the advantage of replaying it..

Hamilton had made the pass as the 'significant portion' was ahead at the point of collision. He goes off an maintains the lead, but there was a yellow in sector 2 for the Perez crash. Was the yellow light flashing after the DRS activation but before the corner? If so, surely that needs looking into as well.

You can pass cars with problems under yellows. And the fact Rosberg is being investigated for failing to stop a dangerously broken car confirms that passing him was fine to do.

I predict Rosberg will be cleared of causing a collision, but a penalty for driving with a badly damaged car.

Doesn't matter, he passed a damaged car.

What the **** was Niki blethering about a 2nd collision? is he going senile? it was a bit close when lewis rejoined but i say no 2nd collision, if Nico had brake problem he had no place being in that position anyway.

Yep, but he was ahead before the actual corner, so he'd gone past after the yellow zone (assuming there was a light there), of course they then touched. Did Rosberg re-pass after the collision or did Hamilton maintain the lead the whole time?
