My new fun car - Audi powered Lotus Elise

Probably wouldn't waste time with driving it beforehand. Just get to work on it. It just needs more 'aero' and you'll be golden.

Don't be put off by peoples concerns, they don't know what they are talking about. You will be too busy going mach 2, they'll be too busy eating your exhaust flames.

That looks hilarious, and such a good idea it has three levels of horsepower. Can you switch between the different boost levels on the fly?

I am betting the 0-60 will be quicker in the lesser power modes as you won't have to throttle manage so much and granny shift 1-2. 60mph plus though must be completely insane in the 380+ mode. :D

Ace, simply brilliant looking car.

Just one comment, why use Audi in the title? Surely "VAG" would be more appropriate, or should we say Seat?

Man, what I'd give to take that out on the track... Can see it being silly fun.

Not only that I bet it is a solid / reliable motor too. :)

Neil if you don't mind me asking, how much? If you'd rather not say just message me on FB. :)

That is full of awesomeness!

I'd actually prefer some form of traction/stability control to help exploit that power on the road, I presume there is none?

I used to work with a guy who had a Honda powered S1 Exige. That was an amazing car. Worth a few £££ now too!

Always wanted an Elise, but not sure I could justify it as a daily driver :D

They are strong engines, a few little things to keep an eye on.
I paid £29.5K, it's at least a £20K conversion and donor car is £18-19K for a tidy one :)

Neil, didn't you used to have a Honda powered Elise?
Yep, sure did.

None, the chassis is more than capable of handling the power and can deploy it quite easily in each gear.

Demanding acceleration videos of this to be posted immediately. :D
I'll try and take one later in the week providing it's dry, will use the racelogic vbox too.

Is that a rear view mirror for ants?
Yeah it's like looking through a periscope :D
