Hi,

I have been asked to help someone with a gaming PC build. He wants to spend £1k, but doesn't know much about gaming computers himself. The build is a complete new build which will need keyboard / mouse, although he has a 4k TV which he wants to use with it so no monitor needed.

Now it's been a while since I looked into this properly, so would like to see what you guys come up with.

It will need to have at least a 240GB SSD, along with 1 or 2TB storage. Case is not such important, but something half decent will do.

He likes playing games such as "Total War: Warhammer", which the required specs for "Ultra" are as follows:

PC 60fps+ Specifications:

[Expected 60 FPS+ on campaign map and in a 1v1, 20 units vs 20 units battle, default graphics preset set to “Ultra”]

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Hard Drive: 35 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Fury X or Nvidia GTX 980 @1080P

Obviously will buy via Overclockers.

Thanks guys.

Imo OCing ability for someone that's hardware-clueless is a waste of money. Cut it down and include an i7 6700 instead. Also, there's cheaper windows key to be had, I would advise against paying full price.

I have plenty of codes from old PC's I can use. Overclocking wouldn't be needed.
