Just picked up a new car, Honda Civic Sport in pearlescent black with black alloys (chavvy I know) and the tyres are really looking out of place.

What's a decent but value tyre shine liquid / spray / kit?

*edit* should have posted this in the car cleaning thread, mods please move if you deem it necessary!

I bought one from ASDA made by carplan. It's a spray, takes 2 mins to do all 4 wheels and surprisingly the stuff leaves a nice matt finish. Lasted about a month on mine

As a few have already said, Meguiar's Endurance is the best I've tried so far. Easy to apply (just put a thin zig-zag along a washing up sponge, which will do about half an 18" tyre), it looks very good and lasts through rain and shine for weeks. Yes it's almost £12, but I've done four wheels half a dozen times so far and have barely even moved the gel down the bottle yet!

As an alternative, this stuff is pretty good. It's a spray (obviously) so that means it's faster and easier on, but it also means it's going to overspray, and choke you a bit in the wind. It leaves a good deep black, and can be left as is for gloss or rubbed in with an MF or rag for a matt finish. It's about £2 a can and lasts a good few goes with decent enough endurance (but nothing like Megs), so it's my second choice.

I use Meguiars Endurance at the moment but I've got some Auto Finesse Satin on order for a replacement.
