65" OLED now down to £3.2k

It's an old model and won't have the specs for HDR premium certification. If I was spending £2k+ it would need that.

To think, I paid £2,500 for an SD Plasma all those years ago!!

The 950 and 960 both have HDR

Was going to say the same thing. Had my 950v since Christmas and must admit i'm much more impressed with HDR than 4K and 4K looks gorgeous :D
They have moved the price up and down at various times anyway. The link in OP shows the previous price from 21/04/16 to 31/05/16 at £3699, when i bought mine at Christmas it was £3600.

People need to remember this is gen3 OLED (the 2016 models are gen4) and I'm sure you couldnt get a 60" gen3 plasma or 55-60" LCD for £3k back then. It pains me to say it because I have never rated LG but they are doing a cracking job with OLED and the current price of it.

Great progress on these. I bought my Sony w905 Christmas 2013 for 1400. The 55 1080 LG OLED was nearly 5k at the time.

As soon as we can get 65 inch HDR OLED for c2k I suspect I won't be able to resist. 4K material should be fairly commonplace by then too. My best guess is the post Christmas sales of 2017/18.

Same here. It still blows me away pq wise - and this is coming from high plasma panels. Games wise, imho, there still isn't a better panel to be found. I won't be replacing it with an OLED until they sort out the input lag.

Was under the impression 960v HDR upgrades were on;y going to be via the Smart TV streaming, and not via a HDMI input?

In November LG started using the HDMI board from the 950 which is HDR over HDMI, you can tell if your 960 supports HDR over HDMI by the last 2 letters of the serial number ZA(no HDR over HDMI), ZD (HDR over HDMI). LG are upgrading the board for free anyone that has a ZA model
