I am looking at getting an x99 motherboard and 5820K but having a hard time working out which one to get. Requirements would be in order of preference...

Less than £200 (maybe a tiny bit more if worth it)
Asrock / ASUS / GIGABYTE or MSI (Cashback offer on for those)
Nice and easy over clocking (got a H110) maybe 4.0 to 4.2 (4.4 max).
Decent amount of SATA ports, maybe some M.2 stuff for future
Good selection of fan headers
Micro ATX or ATX - I don't plan on having more than 2x GFX cards and maybe a sound card.
Not bothered about USB3.1 but would be nice.

Thanks In Advance :)

Hi,

There is this bundle - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...rboard-bundle-20-pounds-saving-bu-020-gi.html - the boards m.2 isnt full speed (10 vs 32GB/s or something like that).

If you want a proper m.2+USB3.1 - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...cket-2011-ddr4-atx-motherboard-mb-542-gi.html - it looks the same as the previous link, but the "p" in the name makes the difference.

£55 cashback with both boards when bought with a 5820k - https://toptechcashback.com/gb/en/pages/cpumb/qualifying

You think I could get both the £70 and the £30 on that gigabyte board?

Yes.

Two different promotions, the Steam voucher is Gigabytes own promotion and the cashback is some Intel thing.

Cheers. So capable enough without being the very high end?

effectively same overclocking potential, at least on air.
I have, atm, an Asus X99-A and Deluxe, they both use exactly the same setting for my 5960x to stable at 4.5Ghz 1.207v.
I also extended the test with MSI X99S Gaming 7, it needed exactly 1.207v to pass 1 hour real bench stress test just like the Deluxe or A.
I would imagine the X99-E would be the same.
