Ive asked this in another thread but I'm curious exactly how many people (if any) this has happened to...

It seems the 1080 is generally hitting higher clocks than the advertised boost clock but has anyone actually had one that dosnt go higher unless overclocked?

Also curious to know by how much is it exceeding the advertised clocks if indeed it does?

My Gigabyte G1 Gaming states boost clocks of 1860Mhz, I have never seen it below that or even close and it sits anywhere from 1930Mhz to 1975Mhz. Quite incredible really but does make overclocking a bit meh seeing as 2050Mhz is my max stable :D

Sounds promising. Going to go with the Pallit but they want £30 more for the overclocked version which is supposedly binned. I think a 1750 (roughly) boost may be a tad conservative though as Ive not seen anyone say they couldnt hit at least 1950 on any non ref card

My Palit Gamerock premium boosts to 2025 with no overclocking. It does 2133 with an overclock. Its under 70 and silent in either state.

I'm going for the Palit GTX 1080 Jetstream I think. It's only £589 which isnt bad compared to some of the others and my plan now is to try and pick up an Oculus DK2 with what I have left to try out VR before I make the plunge and buy the latest unit

Anyone buy the Jetstream version with the advertised boost clock of 1733mhz?

You're doing it wrong, the 480s the VR card. :p

My G1 also boosts to 1950 mhz and i have added another 100 to the base so it sits happily at 2050 with temps getting to a max of 73 degrees.

Not pushed it any higher as there is no need to

My MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X advertised boost clock is 1797MHz but during gaming and 3DMark etc the boost clock is actually always stayed higher at 1974MHz with temp at 65C all time. No need to overclocked it, very impressed with it. :)
