Really like this phone......EXCEPT for the battery life
Seems pretty bad to me, can barely get a half a days usage (12hrs) without really dropping down.
mine's been run all day today with average amount of use, sitting at 60%

I remember a few discussions about whether we were better off with the Exynos or Snapdragon when it was first launched, and there didn't seem much in it, I've not read much on the subject since but reading that summary it seems like we definitely got the better deal in the UK.
Hmm. I know I don't have dozens of Android and Apple phones to compare my own to, but I have played with my fair share of flagship devices.
My experience having owned an S7E since launch simply does not align with the author's conclusion, especially in their criticisms towards battery life, camera performance and system UI. I can't agree at all.
I do find it a pain to hold and use sometimes though, I'll give them that!

That anandtech didn't have the edge with the Ex processor in it
I'm particularly pleased that we got that processor over the snapdragon one
On the screen. I was watching a YouTube video last night and when the video went dark I could tell where the screen ended and bezel began.
The edge version adds nothing however except a look. It offers no practical benefit. And maybe more of an annoyance as have to be careful holding it due to touching the edge

The SD820 version does have a number of issues that the Exynos does not. Main one being stuttering in apps and stuttering recording slow motion and/or 4K video.
Personally I use Keep often and have yet to notice any stuttering. The Anandtech review also closes with many items that are personal preference, like the UI of Samsung apps. The reviewer make sit sound like the UI is universally unacceptable, yet there has been nothing but praise for TW and Samsung apps in general so far since they are much better than what they used to be. He also states themes allow these to be tweaked, but then says this shouldn't be required. Well that's what nexus phones are for, yet themes still exist all over and people can and do change their phones to look and feel exactly how they want suing themes and third party apps.
At present Samsung is the only OEM that allows full System UI changes through Good lock as well as providing a full theming engine. Slap on Nova/Google now Launcher and you may as well call it a Nexus on mild steroids.

Just had to send my S7 Edge off for repair, Whilst browsing the internet earlier, the screen just went off completely, Audio still worked fine, Could ring the phone etc, Touch-Screen was responsive, Just no display at all, No combination of buttons/resets solved it.

Uninstall Facebook. All of it.
Massive battery hog that somehow does not show up in the stats.

Just tried the Blues Snowball USB mic plugged into my phone via that micro USB to USB thats included with the S7.. It works!

Uninstall Facebook and get 20% more easily. Chrome is actually the better experience for Facebook anyway.
Next check what version of Google play services you have as the latest is bugged to heck and causing a big wake lock with drain. (9.2.56)
I disabled automatically updated in the play store, removed that update and installed a slightly earlier version which I got from apk mirror.
I got 6hours sot yesterday instead of the 4 I have been getting.
Just the usual pointless Samsung Store and samsung stuff.
