Hiya guys

Bought some garden furniture For £2100 in store (dobbies) Ordered 19th june
Delivered 29th june. Still packed up/unopened and in garage.

Its just dropped in price by £600. Normally I'd suck it up. But £600 is a big %

Am I still within the time scale to send it all back. And buy at cheaper rate

If you have already purchased a product from us, you will have up to 28 days from the date of purchase to claim a Price Promise refund from us. If you have a valid claim, we will refund you the value of the difference in price in the same form of tender used to pay for the original purchase. You will need to provide your original receipt, in addition to evidence of the other garden centre's price and availability of stock.

The problem I see is the price promise only makes reference to other stores, not their own one.

If they wanted to be smart, they could quite easily refuse and then the jig is up, they'll be less likely to offer a refund out of goodwill due to the fact your just going to rebuy it.

I'd say see if you can get a refund first (unless someone else has pricematched what you bought).

Phone them and ask, you'll be surprised, if not, just return them as damaged or unopened and get your money back, then buy at the lower rate

Cheers guys.

As usual typing a post on OC beats being a lazy git and looking for myself...lol

Thats what 3 hrs kip does to your brain.

Definitely ask them. When my girlfriend and I bought a bed frame and mattress from Dreams, the frame went on sale about 3 weeks later with a fairly hefty saving. One phone call later, they refunded us the difference. Happy with that.

ordered a sofa from argos and it dropped £250 atfter a week, I rang and said can I return this sofa please and then reorder it for £250 less. they just refunded the £250

I would feel it is more cost effective for them to refund the difference as you are entitled to take it in for a full refund anyway.

All they can do is say no on the phone, and you initiate a full refund ether way :D

Why is he entitled to a full refund?

I always keep an eye out for this sort of thing especially on big purchases. Amazon are the best for it. They have always refunded me the difference if the price has dropped soon after purchase.
