The next Labour leader thread

A lot of people, me included, were in tears

You didn't get your own way, so you started crying? - lol! - Actually that sounds about right.

Did you notice the 40,000 odd people who protested today in London? When has the leave campaign been able to turn out a protest anything like that size?

Leave won no need to protest. Why not just accept that you lost and move on?

But it is the will of the electorate. It doesn't matter what intelligence comes into it. North Korea is a case in point.

"The will of the electorate" is influenced by many things and isn't fixed, indeed can change quite quickly. It's moulded by the press, by politicians and by current events. It's also a good way to make some really stupid decisions that negatively affect voters in ways they didn't expect.

Utterly unimpressed with this farce. The plotters look to have failed, all they've achieved is to let the Tories off the hook in a time of chaos, making the Labour party look bad, and neutering our front bench. They've probably even made it harder to remove Corbyn now.

The Labour party looked pretty bad before this farce, and they were doomed anyway as they have completely lost Scotland.

It is on both sides of things. Leave or remain. What has to be accepted is that the majority wanted out. People saw the events and chose.

Lib Dems = while not truly forgiven for the last coalition they are platforming they ought to be known as the Lib Undemocrats as they are going to overthrow the majority of the electorate.

When Scotland voted to remain part of the UK, did the SNP give up campaigning for Scottish Independence?

Had the UK voted Remain, would UKIP have given up campaigning to leave the EU?

Why shouldn't the Lib Dems campaign to retain Britain's membership of the European Union? They are simply representing the views of their members and supporters, which is all anyone can ask of any political party. The only way they can stop the UK from leaving would be with a significant mandate from the electorate via a General Election, removing any possibility of the process being undemocratic.

A lot of people were upset that the vote did not go their way.. But they have to suck it up and work to make the best out of the result, help make the Brexit as amiable and beneficial to all. Calling for a 2nd vote kind of makes a mockery of democracy unless something can be proven to legitimately place the first vote into disrepute.

Life goes on, rather than bitch and winge lets make the most of it.. Bulldog spirit and all pip... pip....

How do you suppose we go about making a vote that was procured on a pack of lies amicable and beneficial to all? Oh right you either call a General Election or run the referendum again based on the the facts. You don't tell people to "Suck it up" and stop whinging about a decision that is forced on them through deceit.

But when both sides used lies? How do you weigh that up. It wasn't just one side telling lies.

The remainers are still bleating about the £350m and acting like petulant idiots. "You made a promise and we will hold you to that"... Puhlease... You promised another world war in Europe and we are going to hold you to that "Roger call in an airstrike on Paris, Hamburg and Rome to get this started".

Its over Ethan... The referendum happened... Brexit won and now we need to start being grown ups and not crying about it (as we have had people doing on here)

Watson pulls out of talks in dismay. Eagle to strike on Monday. Labour to go in full meltdown.

Or so the Beeb would make you believe. We'll see. Thought she'd bottled it, but here we are.

Women seem to be taking over the world, Angela Eagle puts in a bid for Labour leader(whoever she is), May and Leadsom here, Hillary in the states, Scotland seem to have a few, Finland, Germany, probably plenty more, is this the fruitation of years of feminism. Hate to dissapoint though but all they will find out of that they can be just as evil as men.

Unless the unions backstab Corbo, and by that I mean their membership, I don't see Eagle winning. Momentum is also amplifying its drive for subs for £3 affiliates, with the aim of boosting their comrade's glorious reign. Kinnock making speeches. Tub-thumping fun for all the family!

Eagle would be literally the worst opposition ever, let alone a candidate for Prime Minister, she seems to only barely exist as a person in general.

It's really telling that she is the only one they could find...
