A lot of our crossing is provided by our full backs as well. Even more so with Shaw back.

Besides Martial can certainly cross a ball and I'm sure Mhki can too!

There are other ways to do that...

I'm not sure what he's going to do to be honest, we'll see.

I'm not sure what you mean, you either cross the ball or you don't :p

True, you don't know how he's going to play but you always need a decent winger in your side, and you don't have any. You all seem cheesed about signing Pogba, he's a good player obviously but £100m, youre getting taken to the cleaners i think, i woulldn't be happy about that transfer

Mhki will play no10 though i'd of thought. Maybe out on the right if Ronney plays but long term, Mhki should be in behind the striker.

Yeah and as said we have Martial who is a decent winger...

I'm almost certain Mhki will start out wide if Mourinho follow up on his instance of Rooney not being a central midfielder.

That's the only way it'll be done, it seems. And the club have clearly decided the financial implications aren't a problem.

Smaller teams are now offering £30m upwards for players who are just 'good', the big teams, not just ourselves can likely offer 3 times that without breaking a sweat.

In the context of the modern transfer fee he's still overpriced, yes, but it doesn't seem that crazy to me.

You were all complaining about him playing wide last season, whats changed?

The money might not be a problem, sure, it just seems an awful lot of money, even for a club like UTD that can afford it. You could buy 3 top players for that. Maybe it's a moral thing for me, i just couldn't swallow buying a player like that when you have Suarez for 70m 2 seasons ago, a proper game changer.

Any 'top' player, of Pogba's level (or future level), with a few years left on their contract will be going for a lot of money in this market.

Renato Sanches has just gone to Bayern for a potential €80 million with add-ons. He's only 18! Sure, he may end up better, but he may not. He also doesn't have the marketing factor of Pogba, etc.

I'm not convinced Rooney has a massive future at Utd under Mourinho. I can see another Mata situation where he plays him initially then he's gradually nudged out of the side. Mourinho wants his number 10 to put a big shift in, which was why Oscar replaced Mata at Chelsea - can Rooney put that sort of shift in anymore? I'm not sure.

Well Sanchez certainly had the better game tonight. Maybe Bayern have got a good deal then, it's £35m with potential add on's. It's not £100m flat out like youre going to pay, it's a big difference.

I'm not judging anyone by this tournament, it's been poor. And as I said earlier, Pogba was told to play the deepest role in midfield, not exactly his speciality.

Will Pogba not play as 1 of the middle 2 like he did tonight?

I've seen people saying he's better in a three, so not too sure. Either way, he'll be able to get forward if he's next to a player who can defend and sit back.

Jose won't have him as the holding player, that's completely pointless.

Gotta wander how he played the full game in that position considering how useless he was there all game, just sort if existing in front of the back four passing it 10 yards to Matuidi or Koscielny. Bizarre.

He wasn't the holding player tonight either to be fair, but yeah i think he might have had slightly more duty to stay back tonight as Greizmann doesn't really track back, although he dropped deep tonight quite a bit. Matuidi likes to get forward a lot as well, he had a good game tbf, all over the shop he was.

1. I'm not in charge
2. Signing Ibrahimovic gives us another good option up front.

I think Martial's best position is up front but he does well out left too and now we've got both Rashford and Ibra up there so there's less pressure on him to carry us hopefully.

I agree hopefully, but I think it'll definitely start with Rooney in behind Ibra/Rashford and Mhki on the right.

I think mourinho's 'he's not a midfielder' is a play to be able to drop him now that he's not the best No. 10 and not the best No. 9. He's not a winger either.

He'll play in the smaller games and in the domestic cup competitions but it remains to be seen as to whether he'll play in the big matches. I think the first few games of the season will be the making of him again as a player - or see him marginalised absolutely.

Who was then? Pogba just sat the entire game. Just cant understand why DD went with that, Kante should have played allowing Pogba to do what he does best and that is offensive driving midfield play.

I think it depends on the context of the situation. Paying £80-100m for a top young player for utd isn't as bad as it seems. It's more meh, they can easy pay it and considering their form they need to buy big to get back to their usual positions.

But in the context of him becoming the worlds most expensive player, then yeah it's totally over the top, more expensive than ronaldo and bale. Hate to see how much messi would cost currently lol

Personally I don't rate him, certainly not in the worlds best anyway, he looked like he got sulky and frustrated and i see a lot of red cards in his future if he came to epl :p

I think I would take a gamble on sisoko though who could be had for about £20m if not less.
